seriously tho, in a post-apocalyptic environmrny such as in fallout 3, the pip boy

could not navigate. The electronic navigation we have now is GPS,which operates

from sattelites. Obviously zombies or riots or some shit would have overrun the bases we

have now that track and maintain the sattelites, so with noone to maintain them, the sattelites would eventually fall out of orbit and we could not use them. Thus the pip boy

and any other gps device would become completely useless.

That technology isn't probably far off. I would stand in line to get a Pip-boy. If it works in an atomic wasteland, can survive explosions, direct gunfire, every corrosive substance imaginable, psychic mindblasts and other things like plasma then its well worth it. You can even size things up with it! What prize fighter wouldn't love to see where there oponent is hurting and how healthy they were?

Also generally don't recommend heading toward shots fired, but getting behind cover. Made it funnier though. [Also- you can have that happen, you can get shot and killed even in VATS as it slows down the perception of time, not actual time, similar to the affects of a massive adrenaline rush]
