as long as you know the notes on the neck and the major scale and minor scale its the same as the guitar only it has 4 strings not 6 and its a lower frequency
I've seen guitar players pick up a bass and they think itll be really easy, they try the finger roll thing, and watch a bass player, he'll laugh at the attempt. Don't be cocky, if you were planning on it, lol.
