in the 2014 qualification the US needs to stop giving up these early goals and making these late comebacks. Examples Usa Vs. El Salvador 2-2, they give up 2 goals and come back with 20 minutes left. Usa vs Honduras 2-1 they give up the early goal but come back. Usa vs El salvador 2-1. They give up the early goal but manage to come back. Usa vs Costa Rica 2-2. Late goal by Bornstein.

Honduras gave the USA a good fight in this match. They couldn't hold on till the end but they have US a run for our money. USA deserved to win. I was at this match in Sams Army under the huge US flag for both goals. I give the Catrachos credit for coming out and supporting. They have dedication and passion. I would much rather see Honduras go through to the World Cup than Mexico. As of right now, that is very likely.

This was such a valuable win for us. Honduras was on fire and we were in a slump after losing to Costa Rica. I was actually more excited watching the U.S. win this game than watching the U.S. beat Spain.

It was dicey neart the end. The barely held the score. All the lineup changes made the difference and should stand. Attack is still missing bite. Casey?? Hope he steps up. Jozy is dangerous and will pay off for sure. Spector/Feilhaber/Bornstein are very good. Dempsey and Beasley....explain to me why they are still there??

I went to the game at soldier field and I was so thrilled that Michael Bradley was not able to play, instead Benny Feilhaber got some PT and was completely impressive! I really hope they give him a shot at making the team for South Africa because we need someone that can turn with the ball in the middle, control the field, and someone who can be confident with the ball at his feet. Bradley can not do any of those things consistently and it's really annoying he plays because he's the coaches son.

Things we need to do before South Africa:

1) Ditch Bradley.

2) Sideline Beasley. He's just not producing like he should.

3) Improve singing during the anthems. This has nothing to do with the actual game, but comon Sam's Army. A country that produced Aretha Franklin and Marvin Gaye has no excuse for horrible sounding supporters.

Honduras is the 3rd ranked CONCACAF team behind the US and Costa Rica. I was at the game, and they played a good game for the most part. I was very pleased to see the US won, though and what a goal by Bocanegra!

Usa did the best with what they had. Granted, the last two performances havent been up to par, but its soccer you have your ups and downs, hopefully this will serve as a tool for Bradley to amp up the team and for the team as well.

Hopefully they manage to learn from their mistakes and grow.

this win was HUGE! BUT, i think the last 3 games of qualifying have exposed the US to be an average team and not an international powerhouse of soccer. i hope that we see more determination, tanacity and relentless that they seemed to show here, in Africa next week. GO US!

If so then you are wrong. The US player slid in and got the ball before the Honduras player fell over. That is a clean tackle according to the rules

It doesn't matter if the handball was on purpose, it still interfered with a goal scoring opportunity. The ref realized it wasn't on purpose by not giving a red

I remember that very well, and to this day I still want to ring Fringes' neck because of it. 2006 the reffs owed us a goal and instead we had a clean goal vs Italy disaloud and the number 2 worst call of the world cup against Ghana when they got the pk just before halftime. I was at both of those games, and so it is warranty for EVERY call by the officials to favor the United States. 2010 the United States will succeed.
