This looks to be a very well built vehicle, but it seems to suffer from lack of steering. Are there any plans to change that? Also, have you considered building a RC version of your rig? That would kill at the shows.
@Xrati69 Yes steering is an issue, especially when you have four locked wheels in the rear trying to push forward and only two wheels up front trying to turn. We have been looking into six wheel steering.
When tht T-Rex was a Dodge prototype there were 3 companies that made RC versions of this truck, but they were only two wheel drive and made to look like 6x6's. Nikko was the biggest producer. I have a collection of 9 RC T-Rex's. One guy in CA did build an RC 6x6 version of the T-Rex.
this was when the ttc wasnt all custom tube chassis buggys on 54"s that cost $150,000! when i actually like it and i remember the t-rex in it also. you get second or 3rd?
@chapman1525 WTF, i know that...the original was built by dodge....as a concept but Daimler saw it as too hard core...so thay scraped the project and sold the one T-Rex thay made to the hiest bidder...i know this was a custom built rig...i have the TTC 2004 DVD.....
Well it is too heavy duty for the "Average" man. And too heavy duty for even the broadest of big lesbian truck drivers. They'd be even more scandalous than the GM Hummers.
I'd have bought one though. Simply because it's big.
Ah ha!!! another non informed diesel no it all! Just kidding. BUt seriously i'm so tired of hearing about how the 12 valve is so much greater that the 24. What you meant to say, and would have been correct if you had've, is that the p7100 is a superior pump to the vp44. In fact the 24 valve engine is a stronger block, and the head flows quite a bit more air.
What does the street have to do with it? I didn't know that you only needed good airflow through an engine only on the street. And when are you saying less airflow is better? Because more air helps clean out the cloud of black smoke that is so dear to you?
The head on the 24 valve does flow much better than the 12 valve. Ideally the 24V converted with the P7100 would be ideal if the 2003+ CR Cummins was not produced. Very true the VP44 cannot flow as much as the p7100.
V10 putting out 500 ftlbs of torque. The truck is stock except for the suspension and axles, intake, exhaust, and of course bumpers and exocage. It does very well in mud, snow, rocks, hillclimbs, sand, you name it.. The V10 sounds great. I love how it growls.
I honestly beleive the v10 is better than the cummins but I am biased. I have watched my truck out pull and out accelerate cummins and powerstroke diesels. They sure weren't built to their full potential though.

Obviously, more valves will flow better under most conditions experienced on the street..
