If any of these churches were truly like the first century church, then there would be a church where everyone gets healed like the first century church experienced. Also the Glory of God would literally be appearing as the first century church experienced, the Cloud, the Whirlwind of Fire, the Kabod (Glory) Presence of God. If any churches today were actually following the Jewish traditions of the first century church, then there would be 3,000 souls getting saved without use of a microphone.
I expect that this guy was just as sure of himself and just as full of himself when he was preaching for the Pentacostals. Maybe he'll switch religions again one day and then claim to have really, really, this-time-for-sure found the truth.
"A deep unwavering belief is a sure sign you're missing something."
I'm glad you're happy my friend but you've merely upgraded to another brand of superstition. The claims are similar & the hysterical emotion is identical. But consider that Catholics worship bread. Yes, literally. Catholics teach that the Eucharist wafer is God. That little white cracker - it created you & me and the world and the universe. That's really what they teach and it's a preposterous superstition.
@MightyCarnac Was Christ being superstitious when He said "This is my body... This is my blood...." "Whosoever eats of my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him...." and "I will be with you, even until the end of the world."?
@MightyCarnac So God has the power to show as a man but doesn't have the power to show himself as a wafer? Jn 6 48-69 People left him because of this hard teaching Jn 6 60-66 and Jesus said 'I will be with you until the end of the world" He wasn't refering of the Holy Spirit which is a totally different person in the Trinity but he was talking about himself. I have been witness of miracles that have happened around the holy Eucharist. Search for Eucharistic miracles and may God bless you.
@ssabraham Look up transubstantiation in the catechism. Better yet go to John Paul's encyclical on the eucharist. The claim is that the literal substance of the bread is changed into flesh. If that were true we'd could see the difference - yet a chem lab analysis will tell you it's still bread.
As for miracles, what religion does not claim miracles? If you judge by claims of miracles one religion is as good as another. Proving the miracles is another matter. Try it yourself and see.
@MightyCarnac If the priest was a child molester is it still turned into his true body? The true body of Christ is you. You are the temple of God. He took on yuour own flesh and blood as it was in the biginning the first marraige this is now bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh. Last Marraige called the bride of Christ
@MightyCarnac the minute u said "chem lab." you missed the point. There are two parts of the eucharist. essence and accidents. Chem labs can only measure the accidents. God is in charge of the essence. Essence cannot b measured
@MightyCarnac FIRST it is not imagined. Second, u have no idea what u r messing with when u mess with the catholic church. As the guy on this video found out. And about 150 protestant pastors per year convert to catholicism, losing their careers for their faith. God in the person of Jesus told us it is real. not imagined. Plus we have countless miracles over the last 2000yrs to tell us it is real. Study and u will become catholic
The guy in the video admits he was wrong about his old religion. Why assume he's right about his new one?
Every religion claims miracles & revelations. By that measure Catholicism is an also-ran. For example, Catholics say transubstantiation is a miracle. When asked for evidence folks like yourself say something like: "Sorry, it's non-physical essence. It's definitely the true presence of God but it can't be detected so just take our word. Trust us, we're inspired."
@MightyCarnac he admits he was wrong about his old religion... this is y i do assume he is right about his new religion. Honesty is a virtue in case u havent noticed. Yes transubstantiation is nonphysical. Yes God in the person of Jesus told us and proved to us it is true. "all religions claims miracles & revelations." fine. Do a comparison. Do all religions have a pope? no. Do all religions have a lineage 2000yrs long back to Jesus? no. Was that hard? no
@PInk77W1 Honesty is a virtue but an honest man can be wrong. Will Alex Jones be even more correct if he changes religions again? And he might. It's not uncommon. Religion assumes that if we believe a thing it must be true. And if we've believed it for 2000 years it's truer still. Do you really think that's a valid assumption? Look at all the stuff that RCC once taught but now deny.
"What we don't know isn't the problem. It's what we're sure of that just ain't so."
@MightyCarnac "will he b more correct if he changes religion again?" maybe. I love how u gloss over the fact that this guy gave up a 40yr career, as if he was only changing his socks.!! "religion assumes that if we believe a thing it must b true." Could u give me a reference for that ? Name ONE thing the catholic church use to TEACH as true and denies? ONE...... Mark Twain said he only wrote one book that had any importnace at all..... the life of. "st joan of arc."
@PInk77W1 "I think there is no sense in forming an opinion when there is no evidence to form it on. If you build a person without any bones in him he may look fair enough to the eye but he will be limber and cannot stand up and I consider that evidence is the bones of an opinion."
--from "Personal Recollections of Joan of Arc" by Mark Twain
The character in the novel made this statement in response to unsupportable religious claims.
Before the Vatican II council the Catholic church generally taught that ONLY Catholics are eligible for salvation. I was deeply involved in the RCC in those days. I speak from personal knowledge. Non-Catholics went to hell in those days regardless except for infants who went to Limbo. Limbo is another doctrine they deny scrapping.
Reference? Youtube won't allow links. Google "Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus" and you'll be buried in references.
You want ONE Catholic teaching the church denies. There are many but space is limited here. But you mentioned one yourself. The bit about transubstantiation being some non-physical essence. That's contrary to traditional teaching. They can't sell traditional teaching anymore so they spin it like politicians. Don't believe me. Do a little homework. Or else just buy their spin. Your choice.
Ignatius's martyrdom account is one of the most beautiful accounts I have ever read from a professing Christian. "let me be groud by the lions teeth". Such devotion to Christ and sacrifice. Don't see things and devotion like that today
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed." Galatians 1:8, 9
I mean this scripture in the context of this man turning away from God to follow a lie. By the way, we Pentecostals don't just "pray" we have direct access to the throne of Jesus Christ because of the Holy Ghost. And what happened to those "heretics"? Were they lovingly witnessed to? Everything I have researched says they were tortured, skinned, or burned alive.
@NismoJoeB13 Now, read Ignatius, and tell me who is preaching from the correct Gospel. Ignatius should know...he knew John the Apostle.Amen Brother!!! Catholic Church has taught the same thing since Christ founded it, and the Apostles established it in Rome. Can I get an AMEN!!

Here are a few things the RCC teaches:

2) On the third day Christ rose bodily from the dead.
3) There will be a resurrection for all the dead at the end of time.

Thanks for posting. I'll be sure to catch the next video.
Ever catch Michael Cumbie's conversion story - Micah Project - "No Greater Gift" & "No Bread on the Table"?
I saw them on EWTN. He's good also. He's very good at explaining to others what we do in the liturgy and why. But there are only teasers of his dvds on YouTube.

I have none of them. EWTN should broadcast it again.
