thank you so much for this video just took my pit rescue to the trainer where they fitted her for a prong collar but when i got home I couldn't get it off. yea for youtube!
Just too bad you fit the collar improperly.. the ring have to be on the right side and the spikes on the left side so that the pressure from spikes wont be on the tracchea, learn your stuff before posting videos plz , so other people wont do like you
@kartastic123 Again, you're wrong. Prong collars are not sharp, clearly you have never held on up close. They also don't cause any tracial damage, they're actually scientifically proven to AVOID the tracia when the popping is applied; hense the bend in the prong. When u use a nylon collar or choker there is nothing avoiding the tracia when the dog pulls. Its a flat piece of material against the neck. Also, this is a TRAINING COLLAR. Its used to mimic a bit given by the pack leader for correction
yeah i bought a prong choker after a regular choker wasent doing the trick.. but even the prong chocker wont stop my pit bull, he dosent feel pain or anything! hes very powerful for a 65 pounder and im 200lb
@Sonicku then he needs to go to a dog training class where he can learn to obey, not ignore, you. Prong collars are just a training tool, not a cure for bad behavior.
@FiestyKiki Yes. Any training tool, whether a prong collar, a head collar, or a front-clip harness is just that-- a training tool, to be used during a training program. They can all help owners physically manage their dogs as well, but all can have negative effects (in a variety of ways) if misused.
@MsLabMom You are VERY SADLY mistaken. Prong collars are SAFE and very Effective. Nylon collars alone cause more damage then a prong collar. The same with Choke collars, people just use them as a standard collar on a dog that is not trained. Thus resulting in the dog pulling and being choked and causing tracial damage. Before you say something make sure its the truth.
@kartastic123 prong collars are not painful, ive tested every tool ive ever used on myself before risking using them on dogs, it's to represent a bite (correction) from another dog, and is only mild discomfort unless you're using it wrong and yanking on the lead, that is dangerous, although i don't believe it's the right choice for every dog and i won't use them unless all other options have failed me.
@rix1351 And, Remember Dog neck is way too stronger than Human neck.. :) People try prong collar on own neck and say it is a bad tool for training a dog.
In my opinion, Choke collar is the worst training tool if used wrong not the Prong.
Great video! Your dogs do the same thing mine does with her pinch collar...doing the happy dance rather than being all submissive and cowering! Funny how the anti-pinch collar people never factor that into their argument :P
OMG! Your dogs are hilarious! Thanks for the video. I'm learning how to use them.

@skip2mylizzle And thats how it should be when you're not correcting the dog.

Never tied down your dog with this collar, it's only to be used with supervision. Also if your dog does not respond to this collar, stop using it.

Don't believe everything you read in negative comments. A prong collar is a very useful and humane training device when used correctly.

Sense when do prong collars have spikes? Last time I checked they were more like rounded rods.

Beatiful dogs watsisyou.
kartastic you don't seem very bright and you come off angry. Perhaps you could use a strong prong correction.
