not proffesionals were just rebels & our director of music is always MAD! were only proffesionals in concerts, videos and recordings. its not that hard joining the choir when you sing a lot!

James' performance at Young Chorister of the Year on Friday at St Paul's was far and away the best. His rendition of "My song is love unknown" just rang and echoed through the cathedral.

Thanks! We first saw him sing in Faure Requiem...the obvious part, lol...not the Libera Me!

We also saw him when Marty Haugen was over - he was fabulous!

The cathedral looked great in that programme- what a shame that so few people were there!

I was singing at the Friary so couldn't go.

I was also surprised and saddened at the attendance given that it was Easter.

I suspect plenty of people will have enjoyed the service on TV or on Iplayer though.

The Choir is singing 'Victimae paschali laudes Immolent Christiani. Agnus redemit oves, Christus innocens Patri Reconciliavit Peccatores. Mors et Vita duello Conflixere mirando; Dux vitae mortuus Regnat vivus. etc.' It is a sequence, typical of the Mass of Easter Sunday, chanted brfore the Gospel is proclaimed. (see Wikipedia)

I'm told that he doesn't like wearing things on his head.

I'm with him on that - you'll notice that he doesn't wear his mitre as often as he 'should'

I thought that they were supposed to wear it? Part of the get up? All other Bishops seem to wear them, especially during mass.

Hmmmm...I'd have to check the Liturgical Documents on that one...but...unless you are a Cardinal...he outranks us, lol! Besides...I don't think God would mind...he does have a lovely pallium!
