  • hi, very good idea to compare them. to me it was a buying desicion. i decidet to buy the 1500T-7VER.

to me it was important to compare the displays, because the display of the 1500, on pics or videos, always seems smaler like the displays from the other PRW-casios. so thx a lot for that :-)

and greetings from Germany. Auf wiedersehen. ;-)

  • @AlizzDee Thanks! The display on the 1500 is a tiny bit smaller but still very large nonetheless when compared to most other digital timepieces. And it a ton of info which is something I personally like. Thanks for watching! Greetings from the USA:)

  • Hi, cool comparison review, thanks! Are the metal case elements on PRW-1300 stainless steel or titanium, any idea?

  • @rodiaontherocks I think none of the metal parts are Ti. The bezel is definitely not Ti since I've taken chunks out it already from bumps and drops.

  • hope ul do more good review.. i only have one s-chock. and these reviews are the closest one for me to have a new watch

  • @swapper24 Thank you, I appreciate your kind words:) I don't buy too many watches, I'm primarily a knife guy. But the next new one's I get I'll post reviews!

  • cool trick when demoing the back lit.. :0

  • great review. thanx

  • @mariamik104 Thank you, appreciate you watching:)

  • Just amazing that anyone would claim to do a "review" and yet not know what some of the features are or how to work them (rec, feature). You would think that they would at least glance at the manual before doing a whole video claiming a "review". It ends up we are watching some guy play with his watch. No real info.

  • @unacarafea Sorry to disappoint you. There are a lot of other videos of this watch that may show you the info you're looking for.

  • What exactly is the sensors job? I just purchased the 1500

  • @wolverinex76 It's a triple sensor that is used for the Barometer, Temperature and Altitude functions.

  • great review. all should be this well thought out and clear. thanks.

  • @dga223 Thank you for the kind words! I recorded this vid several times just to get the right take. I really appreciate you watching the vid.

  • Looks like the time is bigger and easier to read on the 1300. Is that true? Screen on the 1500 looks dimmer. Also is the bezel plastic on both of these watches? I saw a 1100 in person and liked the metal on the bezel. Thank you for the excellent review.

  • @snowpuppy77 The time is indeed slightly larger on the 1300. In terms of display it may have been the lighting in the room but they are both just as clear. But the 1300 has a slightly more yellow tinge to it. And yes I believe both bezels are plastic. Thanks for watching! Appreciate it:)

  • is it safe to press the buttons underwater?

  • @Lolopon1 I've personally not been underwater with these watches, but from what I've read online these are safe for diving up to 100m. They do however make actual diving watches that have built in depth gauges.

  • i have a question i just bought one and the back light seems to be a green color. and it also hums when its on. did i get a fake? it looks pretty real to me

  • @drunksmokingjurkk The backlight is suppose to be a green. My camera is not accurately capturing the color. But as to why it hums, that's beyond me. If you flip the watch over and look at the back cover plate there should be a module number (it's the number thats inside the rectangle and it matches your instruction booklet), the watch's model number and the Pathfinder logo. If you have those, then I'm pretty sure you have a real one.

  • @drunksmokingjurkk ...I know what you mean... the hum noise... or more like a very high frequency noise is a common side effect of the back-light being on. But the sound is very faint and is only caught by the most sensitives of ears. So don't worry, your watch is most likely legit.

  • great vid! just made my mind up, 1500 all the way.

  • @Balisong005 Thanks! I hope you enjoy your new watch:)

  • I picked up my 1300 about a year ago and have been very pleased. I'm digging these watches and I think these upgrades may be worthwhile because I need to track the tides while I'm in my office :-)

  • @jasonc32amg These are indeed amazing timepieces. I was amazed by how many functions there are in these. If it's tide times you need then the 1500 is a definite winner for you:) Thanks for watching!

  • Thank you so much :)

  • Thanks, I will keep you posted, I do have another query though.. In case of a failure in syncing the time ( I am from India and there ain't no atomic clock here). Will I be able to adjust and set the time manually? Will really appreciate your help in answering this question.

  • @mainakbhatt01There is, in the main time mode, hold down the adjust button for a few seconds and the time zone will start to flash, from there cycle through the fields with the adjust button. You can change the time zone, seconds, minutes, hours, etc. Use the COMP and ALTI buttons to make the changes. Once you're finished press the MODE button.

  • Can you please post a video on how to adjust the titanium bracelet of the PAW1500T-7V. I recently got mine but i am not too sure if its ok to send this one to the jewellers to change?

  • @mainakbhatt01 I don't have the Ti bracelet version but I have looked at some hi res photos of it. It looks pretty simple. And jeweler will be able to adjust for you. If you want to do it yourself you'll have to get a pin removal tool (about 4-9$ on Amazon) or I used a very small paperclip and pliers to punch out the pin. If you do it yourself make sure you note the direction the pin goes, there's an arrow on the inner bracelet. Search for videos on YT, there are tons of them:)

  • excellent review!! especially when you light up the watch, it was very useful way to see how bright it can be in the dark.

i think that Casio should change about light since it shows only one or two seconds.. it would be better to show 5 seconds.

  • @dadoosh3 Thank you:) I agree regarding the backlight. Actually I wish they would give us the option of changing the amount of time it stays on just like the GShock GW-7900B. Also while the light is on if you press any buttons the light turns off, What if you need to cycle through the modes at night with no flashlight? Thanks for watching!

  • Thank you so much for the review. It is so usefull, it made me decide to buy the PAW1300. Comparison Rewiews are really helpfull, because this way you always have some other reference point. Great job.

  • @mvmpy You're welcome:) I happy to hear that you have found this review helpful! Thanks for watching! I know you will enjoy owning the 1300:)

  • @darkchild57 hey just wanted to let you know, that I got the 1300 as a gift for fathersday. Really great watch, but it does have a bumber regarding the atomic synchronisation. It happens that it only works if you are in range of the signal transmission. Well now it makes sence to me, but at the first I thougt it was a global signal. So I dont have a use for the atomic wave reception, since I live in Southamerica where we dont are in range. Maybe these is a usefull info for international buyers.

  • @mvmpy Congrats on your new watch:) I apologize for the atomic feature not working in your area. I didn't realize you're not in range of the towers. I know there are 6 total. Thank you for your feedback, I will notate that into the vid.

  • Great review, that was actually very helpful compared to most of the reviews out there where guys just show how the watch look like. I'm getting the 1500 as soon as my bank account allows me too :)

  • @Kenny00077 Thank you:) I'm glad you found this helpful. There are already a ton of vids of both these watches, individually, I just thought it would be great to see them side by side. The 1500 is an awesome watch and has practically everything you need in a timepiece with the added bonus of solar and atomic! Great choice!

  • Superb review man, cheers

  • @TheEnglishRedneck45 Thanks! I appreciate your kind words!

  • Thanks man for the in-depth review of the pathfinders! it really helped me get an idea about the functions and the look o the watches........ Made my decision to get a 1500 from eBay, hope it turns out great!! Thanks again for puttin up the videos that i requested! ciao

  • @vandho2009 You're very welcome:) I'm glad I could help out. I think you're going to love the 1500, it's larger but it has two more functions and it looks really high tech sitting on your wrist. Take care!

  • great review , thanks man

  • @redcat362 Thank you and thanks for watching!

  • I love the casio pathfinder series! Awesome review

  • @paperas24 Thanks! Yeah I've always loved these watches for the insane amount of functions:) Thanks for watching!

  • great video they both look cool.. 1300 a bit nicer.

  • @SyrianKnight01 Thanks! The 1300 is a bit more subtle without all the buttons and stuff sticking out. The 1500 looks more high tech military. Thanks for watching!

  • I personally wouldn't use the moon or tide functions as much, but I do love the buttons and bezel on that 1500... the display is laid out nice too I think. All in all, I might just have to pick one up... my 1300 needs a friend anyway, haha.

Thank you for the comparison between them bro, I was looking for something like this.

Love the strap on that 1500 too by the way.

I love the watch vids, probably bad for my bank account... but I love 'em bro!

  • @X4CTO I don't use the moon or tide either but it's still fun to watch the animations:) The 1500 is just a really nice watch. I think you should get it! I know how you feel about the bank account...mine's been dwindling lately lol! I'm glad you dig the watch reviews, I have more to come! Thanks for watching!

  • So many cool things to buy... so little money. I have a few other G Shocks I want too, decisions, decisions, haha!

I do like the watch vids indeed my brother, people were getting on to me about all the ones I was doing, lol... but I will have more as well! You're welcome, happy to watch... but I might have to see some more of that Subaru in the future too, haha.

  • This was a terrific review!! I am going to get one of these for my son!

  • @EnduringEagle Thank you! This watch is really awesome and I love all the tech stuff on it:) I'm sure your son will love it!

  • That was an Awesome Review/Compare !! love the Cardboard tube idea!!

    =-D

  • @MountainMonsters Thanks! I'm glad you like it! I got the tube idea from a local watch dealer. He showed me the lume on a watch using a similar tube:) Thanks for watching!

  • Hey I got the 1500! I love it, probably my favorite digital watch to date.

  • @oromoto I really like the 1500 over the 1300 myself. It has everything plus tide and moon functions. Very cool watch! Plus I really like the very large digital display, makes it easier to read without squinting:) Thanks for watching man!

  • @darkchild57 You should of have gotten the Ti version, it's much more comfortable bro.

  • @oromoto I like the Ti version but I don't like metal bracelets. The reason is because my wrists always swell or shrink throughout the day. I rubber/resin/plastic bands are easy to adjust to compensate for my wrists. Usually after my workout my wrists are larger, then after a couple hours they shrink a bit. The other reason is that metal bracelets are just cold to the feel and usually slide around on my arm whereas rubber straps tend to stay put a little more. But I agree with you, the Ti

  • @darkchild57 man, so you shrink?!?! :P I got me the Ti because I have so many rubber band torn on me.

  • @oromoto Oh yea, that's a pain. My wrists shrink towards the end of my day lol. It sucks! I like being able to adjust the tension without having a tool. Hey we all shrink with age right lol!

  • @oromoto (cont) version is probably more comfy and it looks better...but then again I don't know I can justify the extra money lol! Thanks man!

  • I'm impressed. Very cool. And the price is?

  • @thenrylee Thank you. Amazon is probably the best place IMO to buy watches without the fear of fakes. The 1300 is $165 USD for the version in the vid but it can be more expensive for other variations. The 1500 goes for $208 USD for the version in this vid. If you don't need the compass the G-Shock Riseman is a good alternative but you're still looking at $150 USD. So unless weight and size is an issue, you might as well go for the 1300. Thanks for watching!

  • Great review. Nice watches, but I guess they wouldn't be too great during the polar night

  • @zujostix Thanks! These watches are great for a back up tool, but mainly for timekeeping. With it's atomic/solar feature it's really accurate and no need to bring along a spare battery. As for the ABC functions, I would carry a high end GPS device. Only resort to the watch if you have to.

  • @darkchild57 I can only agree on that. Honestly I prefer analog watches to digital, but with things like these it's sometimes hard to beat them

  • Switchin hobbies fast aren't you :P

  • @MyopicChihuahua Lol, yeah! Don't be surprised if I switch it again:) I've got a lot of hobbies! Thanks for watching!
