What a terrible world it would be were people obligated to act unaware of info posted on Facebook. Eric should write a song about how great it is to have conversation ready for people you see rarely: Oh, I saw you won your soccer championship. Congratulations is much more efficient than, Oh hey. What have you been up to? Facebook allows people to go straight to the meat of conversation. Without the ability to acknowledge the information I have, Facebook becomes essentially ineffective.
