Ive never been to India, but Id hardly call this particular section of the city "filthy". Aside from the mound of cow poop at 0:59 it just looks dusty. Earth, mud or dust isnt filth in my eyes. Ive seen Western places that had real filth much worse than this. But like I said if you mean in India in general fair enough. Ive never been. Though many who have said they enjoyed it.

@outofslumber - the Ganges is one of the most polluted rivers in the world, yet they bath in it, they worship rats, no lie, Google rat temple in India, they still have monkey gods, the country as a whole is dirty and very over populated, making conditions even worse. Western companies have areas that have been developed for outsourcing American jobs, but leave that area and you are in the GHETTO, literally...it's a shithole, that's why so many are coming to America.

I have personal friends that have been to India, more than once, it is a dirty place, but that's what they grew up in, very crowded swaller. In any country you are going to find unclean conditions, but when you go to India, Mexico, or the other countries you mentioned, you can't drink the water without getting diarrhea, not the case here in the USA.

Different levels of cleanliness, India doesn't appeal to me.

@alal22000 - Yes, that is my view, and you have yours. Here we have pollution regulations, water and air quality standards, I don't see that in India. Sanitary and India don't belong in the same sentence. I just Googled - Sanitary conditions in India, what I got was a statement saying almost all of urban India live in sub-standard conditions, in other words, filth. One thing they are good at is reproducing, no problems there!

Granted they have a lengthy history, some very fascinating, rich in culture, but none the less, today it is hot, dirty and very over populated.
