It;s good to see Stu having a good run at it this year after what happen to him last year .. Last year he got all the way to the US to be denied entrance. Something about working papers .. would love to know the whole story
@SundaysR4Bowling I believe the air port told him he needed an althelete passport. It was the first time they had told him that so he wasn't allowed into the US.
@supersid802 that's crazy. I never needed a special passport when I played hockey in Sweden. Wonder why the U.S. has that requirement. I know England specifically wouldn't accept Iroquois passports from members of the national lacrosse team they fielded. Apparently athletes could be up to no good :|
@SundaysR4Bowling What happened was he had been granted an athlete visa, but when Stu arrived in the US the immigration officials thought that because Stu was being paid, they thought he needed a work visa, and not an athlete visa.... Both Stu and the PBA tried to appeal against the decision but Stu was forced to return to the UK before he could file a case, so by the time he returned to the UK and the US Immigration Services admitted they were wrong, it was too late as he missed the WSOB.
Did anyone else notice how amazingly better Jason speaks when interviewing Stu than Jackie Bowling does? PBA, please take notice.
