It was part of his entrance to the stage...it was widely reported in the media before this festival that kurt had ODd and wouldn't be fit to play.

He had his manager wheel him out onto the stage here, and then he slowly stood up, looking fragile and fucked... and then said a few words, and collapsed.

After a few minutes, he jumped back up, a tech threw him a guitar and he kicked into the set.

Hence the hospital gown.
