In all seriousness, there are cities on specific maps you need to capture. The levels indicate if there is a said "lab" (looks like a normal city) and you need to capture it. This will allow you to advance to a hidden map where, upon completion you get the said device. There are some good online guides at GameFAQs.

This game was so much easier than AW and AW2. I mean, seriously. I'm currently going through the hard campaign, and most of the missions are much easier than some of the normal campaign missions from previous games.

@joabmeira Few spoilers here.

If you look closely at the ending, Hawke doesn't die in either ending, but rather it seems that way. But what he actually did was take Von Bolt's chair and then somehow escape alive, then use the power in the chair to restore Omega Land. If you choose Yes, Jake shoots the chair, if you choose No, Hawke shoots the chair. Either way though, the rest of the ending is the same.

@demoncry54 Same. No challenge at all. Just send a swarm of B-Copters and T-copters holding infantry down south, then use a few tanks and recons to hold off Von Bolt's initial forces. After you get rid of all the infantry and oozium to the south, you just capture buildings and increase daily funding, eventually leading to 1 neotank a day's worth of cash.

The best strategy for this mission (even in Expert) is to built only infantry at the beginning (they are really effective against Oozium for no cost... ) and some DCA or Recon (a tank is quite useless). For an easy win you have to send infantry to capture the city at the bottom (before kill the enemy infantery with some heli). Your opponent will fast run out of money... The last objective is to strike the giant Oozium with some heavy Weapon (5 neothanks are more than necessary...)

I already found a way to defeat them XD.... I just use the guy who produces the rocket boys per captured building and rush with crappy infantry. After all, the black blobs eat anything no matter how strong it is, so might as well use infantry XD
