Michael always had issues sleeping & used opiates for chronic pain from the Pepsi accident, Lupus, & when he fell on a crane on stage. He also suffered emotional pain - his childhood (or lack thereof), traumatic abuse from his father, the false allegations, torment by the media, etc. which I believe are indirect causes of his death.
