Man, that's like saying "look, I can WALK ON LAVA" and then upload a video of you running with the lava closely following you.

I'm not putting the effort down btw, kitesurfing just close to those waves is already an accomplishment and something to be proud about (a video of a person running while being closely followed by lava would be quite an accomplishment as well btw).

But when you claim to have done something you haven't you devalue what you have ACTUALLY done.

so in waves, do u only use primary safety so u can completely disconnect from kite easily? I've only been out once in proper surf and my kite pulled me around a bit when my kite was caught in a wave, i disconnected primary safety but my secondary still felt like a truck was pulling me through surf. Didn't feel good!

It's not really kiteSURFING until you actually turn on the wave. Nice running from big waves video though. Perhaps if there is more wind you could actually turn on it.

nice work but that board is way too big for kiting, you wanna be more on tow style boards with a bit of weight so you can hit the section.

Surfers who get into kiting riding normal surfboards shred all over the "real kite surfers". You idiots riding wakeboard style boards have got no fucking idea when it comes to riding waves. No straps, real turns and getting tubed is where its at, not wafting around in the air on wakeboards! Search for "south oz strapless kitesurfing" to see how real men take on this incredible form of surfing.

Agreed with trying to surf on a wake board, but riding strapless takes away one of the best things about kite surfing "wafting around in the air" :)

This is an insult to kitesurfing!!! those guys aren't even riding the wave they're running scared in front of it. Where is the bottom turn? the surfers in the vid have way more balls and even dropped in on the kiters cuz they're wasting waves. they need to learn to depower their kite and use the wave next time.
