imaging being caged and being starved before performances. Imagine being forced to do tricks for food. Imagine yourself living such life. Tell me if this is humane?
Seriously. This tabloid is about exploiting the rich in getting more attention than anywhere else. Honestly i dont see much hype. You wanna talk about saving animal, how many land singapore have already brought down its habitat, talk about the Zoo for instance. Organization like RWS is capable of maintaining what is required to take care of the dolphins i am sure for as long the Govt took effort to check on them. U wanna talk about saving the animals, look at the zoo and night safari!
@cripperzprodigy It's not about how ''well'' someone can take care of the animals, it's about how they were obtained and what message they're trying to send. How can you even being to promote a message about "conservation" (like RWS is) and yet go out there, catch dolphins and tear them from their natural habitat?! These aren't animals that have been bred in captivity, these are animals that - until 3 years ago were completely wild and free from human contact.
Captive dolphins die! Two out of 27 already died ... how many more need to suffer and die of infection, depression or suicide before the greed of RWS knows and end?
Singapore is also failing in it's duty to improve international law to stop animals being needlessly exploited, & what is worse, Singapore Govt, even seems to arguing for such useless policies..
What is the point of politicians if they cannot prevent needless harm?
There are so many other possible solutions.. a wild conservation area dolphins could be made welcome to.. & choose to visit.. where they could be observed and studied in freedom.

The marine park spokesperson said that they are holding the dolphin for "conservation" purposes. Bullshit. It's all about the money.
