  • They fucked up the sound on the R1 Emperor of the North DVD, if you ask me. The dialogue is way too high up in the mix, maybe other things too. I've seen a couple of other versions, in which the balance has been much better.

    I'm sure Aldrich didn't mean it to sound like it does on the DVD.

    Great movie, though! One of my favourites!

    Oh, and I love Ernie. May he live even longer.

  • I can't wait for "Emperor of the North" comes out in HD. Borgnine plays a sadistic train conductor "Shack" Wow what a job he does. Lee Marvin and Borgnine. A must see.
