how do you make your sax sound like that? is it how you place your mouth or is it the sax?

@jamster1594 What do you mean by "make it sound like that"? I did the recording on a digital camera, so it may just sound like that because it was of crappy quality. Also, I was playing on a Selmer Bundy II, so that may be the reason too.

I suggest any technical piece. It is good to show of your lyrical side for things, but that isn't what they are looking for. I picked this piece because it was short, fast, and I threw it together really quickly and it turned out decent.

well, I was a member of the unaugural AAMB and I know they have changed some things about the audition process, but when I auditioned you had to have a solo excerpt that was under 2 minutes I think, (of your choice) and a marching excerpt with music provided. Are you auditioning?

Now try opening up the TOP of your throat. If you yawn you'll also feel a small strip of muscle tighten across the roof of your mouth behind the point where your wisdom teeth should grow in. It tightens the area around your nasal cavity which creates a smoother flow of air. It's the specifics teachers forget to explain which help the most. Try it. If it works GREAT! If not forget about it. Sometimes it doesn't do damn thing. And sometimes it does.
