This was one of the best shows MTV ever made-so of course they were going to cancel it. They only keep the worst shows on air and cancel the good ones. Same thing History Channel did with Dogfights(about aerial warfare not literal dog fighting).
This show is wack. It's just hyped up drama with a blair witch project budget. Unsolved Mysteries is the real. The computer is kinda cool but because this show is so fake... it sucks.

This was at least a fun show to watch, WAY better than MTV's current lineup, and the places they chose were scary/ intimidating. I mean, two of the "Haunted" places visited during the series' run were abandoned prisons, and another two were abandoned plantations; If there were any two types of supposedly haunted buildings I wouldn't want to come within a 5 mile radius of, they'd be a haunted prison and a haunted plantation, I'd imagine both of those could have some REALLY angry spirits in them.

Ok food for thought, this show was fake, I loved it though they would get actors to play college students but funding was way to high. 1 they had to pay for the area, 2 they had to get security and safety crew, 3 camera and high tech equipment, not to mention the editing and all that. It was said they will try to make more but their funding way way to high.Think about it though if your in school and need money, who would walk away from 5000$ and all you got to do is walk around in the dark.

This is a classic show! This first episode was totally classic horror and scary! The other episodes were either lame or okay. But this first episode was amazing!
My little brother and I used to make a big ass bowl of popcorn and watch this together, it was so much fun. The rest of our family thought it was lame but we didn't care, we locked ourselves in my room and turned off all of the lights and enjoyed the hell out of every minute.

Around 06:12 to 06:15 the audio in the video says, "Your mission is to determine if the prison is hounted." Immediately after that there is a audio of what sounds like a voice a EVP. Anyone else catch that? I can't make out what the audio says.
@SirOscarWhiskey i hear it i was told by someone that its just backround noise. i myself beleive it sounds more like an evp they dont always come in as clear. thats why some are so quick to discredit it. but yes you can clearly hear right after he says haunted there is a wisper like voice saying something.

Someone told me the voice seems to be saying, "you will", which I find really interesting because the audio says, "you will determine if the prison is haunted," then right after a unknown voice says, "you will."

where is this "haunted" place? i always hear about them but then the only people who find any "proof" of ghosts are people with made-up ghost detectors and "psychics" who say "i feel something!" and then they fake cry. they never actually prove anything and it's always really vague evidence, like the room feels cold in one spot, or a picture of some dust in front of a lense. show me some real ghost evidence and i'll believe it. show me some genuine santa evidence and i'll believe in that too.

Not that I know of. WVSP is just about 4 hours away from me and everyone I know says they've had something happen to them. I've hunted in the prison before and I acutally caught a few things... It's worth going to.

Ahhhh ... the show I used to love BEFORE Ghost Hunters even tried to get on TV. This really needs to come back...sadly it's too entertaining, so MTV probably sees no interest in it.

I remember this show. I watched it faithfully. It was the very first 'haunted' show I had ever really sat down and watched and I remember I had issues sleeping months afterward. I wish they'd bring these back. I loved them.♥

personally i think there is spirits and shit but honetly i think it what runs through our minds is what happens or atleast what we think is going on, i went to an old abandoned mental asylum and believe me i was sketched over 90 + people we put to death and tourchered there, we didnt even bother to go to the basement were the morgue or whatever it is would be, i guess the basement flooded and when they drained it all the bodies were found i donno man shits just fucked up

well when it comes to spirits, their there but sometimes we don't have the proof to show that they are present, just because some evidence doesn't appear credible, doesn't mean it's not reall. there is alot of evidence in the world to prove that paranormal things really happen, unfortunattly some activity doesn't present credible evidence to some people. just because you don't see it doesn't mean its not there.

It's crazy b/c this show came out WAY before Ghost Hunters and all of those other shows, and since this, they have come up with good experience and evidence, EVPs and stuff of this prison. So I guess this show isn't all bullshit, good show, they should put it back on.

I could careless about what MTV does about ghost attacks and the legal risk because that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about people getting on the show to prove to themselves whether or not ghosts exist at all, meaning, people seeking out the truth behind their existence, not their behavior.

Oh well...atleast they're convinced. I guess they wanted to prove it to themselves and have come out of the experience with the idea that the place was haunted, not realizing that what they were told about the place beforehand has played a large part in their preconceived notion of the place being haunted. If they were never told anything, they wouldn't think about the place being haunted to begin with. It's a good show though. And some of the reactions? Fucking classic!

where is this "haunted" place? i always hear about them but then the only people who find any "proof" of ghosts are people with made-up ghost detectors and "psychics" who say "i feel something!" and then they fake cry. they never actually prove anything and it's always really vague evidence, like the room feels cold in one spot, or a picture of some dust in front of a lense. show me some real ghost evidence and i'll believe it. show me some genuine santa evidence and i'll believe in that too.

I recent;y spent the night there and despite being open to the possibilities, I saw nothing but superstitious guests and paranoia. The mind plays tricks on you and see what you want to see. No ghosts. A fun time, though!

Not that I know of. WVSP is just about 4 hours away from me and everyone I know says they've had something happen to them. I've hunted in the prison before and I acutally caught a few things... It's worth going to.

no its not.I'm 14 and when I went there last year, as I got to the most gruesome places i could feel something(s) trying to grab me and drag me deeper in.Also you can hear voices pretty much everywhere, even screaming.

My 9th grade Criminal Justice class went to the West Virginia Penitentiary( I'm from West Virginia btw). My friends and i went around the cells and all of a sudden someone or something pulled my shirt and one of my friend's hair !I'll always remember that ! I'll never go back there!
