Are you kidding me this video is very poor i have done over 50,000 windshield repairs all you need is to is to inject the star break not make more damage, with the probe.
Are you for real???? Hell no do you need to crack/probe/beat to a pulp every chip!!!! if you use a decent quality resin it will flow into a star/ bulls eye/ any other chip without beating it up!! if you make more damage, you will have to repair more damage.....
@ODanboy I don't actually know a Gavin from Auto Glass.

@Essie77 repairs are 50.00 for one star or chip and 15.00 each additional. However if you have full coverage insurance it's free to repair. ;)

vacuum out the air first without a resin pool is the right way to do repairs. This equipment is old school
HydrogenMike54 2 years ago
I agree on small "tight" breaks, opening up the damage will improve repair, but this is not required on existing damage over say 5mm.
amron2006 3 years ago
I agree. With the proper injector and resins it is not necessary.
MACHGMARS 3 years ago
I have been doing this for about five years and must say that this step is unnecessary if you use proper equipment.

buy some NANO470 resin and avoid this step.
