Actually, Vic Mignogna, the voice actor for Edward in the English dub, tried out to be Allen and was the best one for the role. But they wouldn't give it to him because Eda and Allen are so alike. They're both orphans, have weird arms, are fifteen, have little alfalfas in their hair....... and are both short stacks.
