i saw maybe the greatest rush tour ever produced, moving pictures, what a show, the music, the sound system, the light show, the newness of the material, i was 19 yrs old and it was my first rush concert, i had already seen led zeppelin and pink floyd in '77 and although this show was a couple of years later, it was the crowning glory of a trifecta of greatness for concerts! not to put down todays youth, but unless you came of age in the 70s, you have no idea what real rock n roll was like!!!!

The thing I love about rush is how all of the members get equal coverage. If you watch a Zepplin vid or something it only shows Page and Plant and you never seen any Bonham or Jones, but with rush the camera is always moving around between the three of them because all three of them are absolute musical masters and no member of the band is underrated. Aside from that they are a totally sick band and tunes like this never get old

@Hell4th Our generation did nothing to music. If you stay away from the charts then you still find decent tunes. There was shitty pop in the charts in the past as well. Stop trying to gain attention by thrusting your age onto a video.

in past ther was shitty pop too, but at least there was so many awesom bands lik Rush.
Now in present 90% of 'music' is just that shitty pop. If things keep going like this, in the future music will be just that shitty and gay pop that 98% of the fans are adolescent and immature girls.

I still have to disagree though. There are so many independent labels and music outlets nowadays with the help of social media that means we have more choice than we used to. Chart music is shitty pop I agree, but it isn't difficult to find contemporary bands that continue to write great prog rock and other such genres.

@Billsy64 Right on! I'm right there with you: Rush is my second-favorite band, but my first favorite band is a prog metal group who is just as old as you and I are. There's plenty of good music out there, and just like you had to ignore Abba back in the day, you have to ignore Gaga today.

@bkeels002 Well Vampire Weekend have really helped tbh. They're the first band to get an American Number 1 album without using the backing of a major label or major distributor. Its put a spanner in the works.
