  • I have a similar back story. I was found trapped under a milk crate on a farm, ridden with fleas and starving. I was only started training when I was about 3 years old. So as long as you have a positive reward based method us cats can learn just as well as dogs.

  • I took in a feral cat at approx 2 years old, un altered, with a broken leg & nose, abcess and skin dermatitus he turned into a creature probablycomes only once in a lifetime,The unforgettable Hobo, who was the exception to every rule, became not only very tame, he was so clever and responsive in a very unique way to all other cats I've known or owned, he always came when called, understood and reacted to signals to get on/off your knee, spoke about 15 cat words, & he liked to ride in the car.

  • Obliging is the right word. I wish my cat would be a little more obliging sometimes, ... all on his terms, all of the time, which is probably fairly common,... but a little disapointing. I think with all animals if you have them from babies you can possibly build a better connection, my poly boy did'nt wander into my life till he was between 6 mths and a year old with huge anxiety issues, so all in all he is not so bad, if he is "in the mood" he will do a few things for chewy stick treats.

  • Not obedient, obliging.

  • I love it an obediant cat!
