If anything, the dinosaur would be scared out of its guts with all the sounds (e.g Guns, Aeroplanes) and smells. Dinosaurs like Giganotosaurus (if thats what its called) used other senses more than it used its vision. They also sensed vibrations through their feet. IMO, the dinosaur would be freaked out by the vibrations made by the plane. Well, its just a fictional program anyway. Heh.

T-Rex also had a much more developed brain, it had a better sense of smell, better vision, was thicker an there-by much more muscular an had much stronger Jaws n neck muscles

I love how Terra Nova's pilot had a budget of at least 16 million, and an obscure (in America) Bristish sci-fi show with a budget probably nowhere near as big has better effects.

Also, IMO, Primeval is an all together better show then TN.

@HellionGoddess I guess it may bee opinion wise, but to me, the Primeval creatues just look more like real animals. That creatures on Terra Nova look cartoony, so it's harder to buy that they are actually there.

Let me put it this way, they started to air Primeval on SyFy, a channel known amongst the nerd community for bad monster movies with horrible effects, while Terra Nova airs on Fox. To me, it seems like the opposite.

Out of interest, which do you think is the altogether better show?

@FlyingFocs I like Terra Nova more, the acting in it just feels a lot better, and I actually like the story behind it. The show has not had many episodes yet to really jump into a lot of action. But I do a lot of 3d design, and the textures of the creatures just look a lot better on Terra Nova than they do in this show.

@HellionGoddess Maybe the textures are better, but the Terra Nova creatures also seem to have this digital sheen to them, while the Primeval creatures don't. It just makes them seem more life-like. I'm no effects guru, but that's just my opinion.

I like Primeval better, though, because it seems to have more going for it, and the scenes with the teenagers in Terra Nova are just obnoxious. Plus, with something that got the nod from Spielberg, I guess I was expecting more from it than Primeval.
