I been on that train last year. I think they oversold tickets though. I see alot of standing passengers or those tickets are alot cheaper. What makes it interesting was there is one white guy standing that seems so out of place. The whole ride was 2 hrs I think

Yes, I have been to the boonies in China. Life is harsh but at least people there have hope of social mobility unlike in India where there are a lot more culture and social limitations. If you compare the level of poverty between China and India, you can definitely say Chinese poor are a lot better off with regards to clothing, shelter, sanitation and health care. Chinese poor are getting jobs through public works projects unlike the growing young uneducated generation in India.

BTW, you shouldn't really refer to a "DMZ" between SAR Hong Kong and mainland China. Both are parts of China, and the PLA is the military for both. It is true that it is still operated as if it were an international border, with separate passport and visa control and the security features you mention.

Thank you for this you tube video poster, China trains are very fast ( 200 miles per hour ). In USA no fast trains like china fast trains. Very good ,beautiful , big, clean,  fast train. Toilets (restroom) are big and clean.
