Kizomba is a genre of music originally from Angola, but spread to other Lusophone african countries such as Cape Verde, Mozambique, Sao Tome, Guinee-bissau..and also in Portugal & brasil. Zouk music is originally from the french caribbean islands (guadeloupe-martinique-a little bit in Haiti). they are musical genres that have grown & developed globally to stand on there own. tend to have very sensual and romantic lyrics usually. I love them Both!!

@zambianidiot get it right kizomba derived from zouk. Each country has their own version based on their beats. Kizomba dance originated in Angola but anyone know the kizomba music is a sub-genre with angolan beats as cabo love is a sub-genre of zouk too.
