I space out for a second and I hear something about jesus xD I realize it's the part "And Tore me to pieces" but I swear it sounded like something about Jesus
Oh....I think around 4-6 hours. The hardest part was separating out the notes from the original track and converting them to midi. I used TS-AudioToMIDI to do that and then Cubasis as the Midi editor.
cool idea John! I think fortunately it will be awhile before speech technology is adept enough to completely replace singers... I am impressed by the new 'voice' from Leopard on OS X (called 'Alex') -- that's the most natural voice I've ever heard... but it still is quite far from any real human.
Technology advances rapidly though -- so who knows?
There may not be a NEED for singers in 20 years -- but there will still be a desire from humans to listen to real human performances -- always.
Er... sometimes the voice is like.... WAY off. xD

Summarizing a very long commentary that I almost posted, even knowing how old this video is (lol):
This wasn't great, but it had potential. Main issues are pitch bend and rhythm. Don't separate consecutive notes.
It was a nice start though.

patrickvalk 2 years ago
No, there's NO WAY that's Miku. That's not even a Japanese Vocaloid.
However, I have no idea which voice this is... I don't know the other Vocaloids very well outside of the well-known ones. xD;;

The version of Vocaloid I use saves to MIDI files with extended information stored in them. I might have the MIDI around somewhere.
