God does have plans for you, Angela, and there is NO higher standard than His. Forgiveness comes through repentance and the atoning righteousness that only He can offer. Without a heart transplant from Jesus Himself, we're just dead guys who are good for nothing more than stinking. You have been given a new heart, and like Paul the Apostle, you are clothed in the righteousness of our blessed savior, Jesus Christ. Keep doing what you are doing, and let the Holy Spirit work through you.
