@Featureman welcome, love this type of hummer, it's just great..Ah Bob did he crack some jokes for ya. i bet he would of been a blast to hang out with.
Bob Newhart actually did a lot of the audience warmup when I last worked with him on George and Leo. I was in the cast for that show and Bob took us all out to a nice restaurant on the Sunset Strip for a dinner. He was quite funny in real life and very nice. Thanks.
I totally love you. Too funny. Where did you get these jokes? We are always going to see burlyQ and variety acts here in NYC, but what is missing is someone doing standup....
The prescription windshield is mine. The ones that preceded it are from Mae West, Woody Allen and many other acts on early TV. I mix my new jokes with old jokes. Thanks. there used to be many great comics on TV and in vaudeville.
Thanks. Mae West did the intellectual opposites in one of her movies. Woody Allen was the one I heard do the ingrown tail joke. Some of the jokes are mine but many are recycled. I hate to see the good old jokes being forgot when they still are funny. Thanks again.
Good stuff. A lot of the old Vaudeville stuff I've heard seems dated, with references to a culture we no longer have. You've picked a good selection to share, and I applaud you for trying to preserve this stuff.
lol, i must have an awful sense of humour, i didn't get many of them - until he got to the fly in the soup. :D then he lost me at the man whipping himself with a nose hair
Thanks for watching and commenting. My sense of humor also is quite weird. I was not as big a fan of Bob Hope as I was of Bob and ray or Pogo or Ernie Kovacks.
your to funny, i wish i had something close to me that was funny :( everyone thats close to me our anti english and only speak like there fresh off the boat from middle east :(
No. I did not write these. There is probably one or two I made up ( the prescription windshield is mine )but most are very old vaudeville jokes. I don't want them to be forgotten. I intend to put some original jokes on sometime soon. I love the old one liners from Henny Youngman, Woody Allen, Judy Canova, Milton Berle and many others.
Gave me a BIG smile. I am doing a BIG thanks for that

That "five-piece band" joke cracked me up. I thought I knew all the old jokes!

The older the joke, the more likely it is to be new. Thanks.

I haven't heard any of these jokes so far, these are hysterical, and you're really good at telling them.

I love all his deadpan one-liners!
He reminds me of Abe Vigoda a bit.
avastyelandlubber 3 years ago
Thanks. Abe was funny just by saying "Hello." He was one of those characters who could always be so much in misery it was funny.

Thanks. Some humor seems to stay in style with little tweaks like marriage and divorce humor and bad cooks and tough neighborhoods.
