@LeSaMilano Thanks Lesley. Oh those white lions are so beautiful. I got to rub/stroke a cub for 5 minutes. and... all I can say is.. it was a dream come true. The white lions you see here are protected and the babies are being hand reared. The cat family are my favorite animals.. (well if i can make my mind up) I love them all, but yes. there is something so special about them.
@Tessietots The enclosures are enormous and the animals are basically in their own environment.. they get fed at certain times, so they know when to come closer. U have to think on your feet, cause they wait for no one. lol. Taking the pictures through the fence was challenging, because you had to play with your depth of field etc. also I was changing lens's every 5 minutes. lol believe me I had to bin many of them, but thats the beauty of digital. Glad you enjoyed it.
My husband wants to know how close were you?! And what kind of zoom lens were you using? We all watched it and absolutely LOVED these! EVERY picture was just amazing!!!! Thank you again for sharing this with us!!! HUGS!!!!
@socalplum Hi Bobbie, Finally.. Im here to comment. Its been a mad few days.
ok.. I have a very basic camera kit. Nothing special, but it does the trick. Im hoping to upgrade soon enough, just have to save:) I use a Canon 350D and I have the 70-300mm canon lens. It brings me close, (but I would love to get closer).. I compensate by cropping and getting as close as possible on scene. Some of these pictures where taken in the sanctuary, through a fence, which was difficult.
extraordinary photos Tess. I've never seen an albino lion. Such beautiful animals, how could anyone not want to protect them
