To get a fur that is worthy of sale, you have to incapacitate the animal without making unsightly holes in the skin, or getting blood on the fur. Apparently the best way is to slam their heads on the ground or beat their heads with clubs. After you've skinned a few hundred animals, it probably stops affecting you emotionally.

I do not have anything against fur, for I believe that it is something that you can use to keep warm if you live in a cold environment. But the way that people are getting that fur is just wrong. The right way would be to put a quick bullet in the animals head, then skin it after it is dead, and I think that you should not waste the rest of it, they should gut it and eat it.
No one needs to wear fur, There are plenty of warm alternatives. The fur industry is where millions of mink, fox, racoons are kept on factory farms in tiny cages , stressed, no vet care and none of it's own animal needs taken into account. Then they are orally AND anally electrocuted or worse.

I think one of the main reasons humans are omnivores is the fact we have found ways to thrive in almost every environment on the surface of the planet. I'll never be a vegetarian for the simple fact I like the way cooked meat tastes not to mention all the great by-products (beyond their skin cows and oxen are stout animals of labor) of existing with them. The thing is as a species there are just too many of us.

This is in China. That is not a raccoon but an indeginous species of dog found in parts of China/Asia called a raccoon dog. They also raise and steal dogs and cats and sell the furs abroad. The manufacturers know full well where these come from. Do not buy any fur at all. Faux fur is most often real.

Sick...maybe. Indifferent...probably. I thought about this quite a bit, because I too thought it must be more difficult with the animal moving around. To get a fur that is worthy of sale, you have to incapacitate the animal without making unsightly holes in the skin, or getting blood on the fur. Apparently the best way is to slam their heads on the ground or beat their heads with clubs. After you've skinned a few hundred animals, it probably stops affecting you emotionally.

I do not have anything against fur, for I believe that it is something that you can use to keep warm if you live in a cold environment. But the way that people are getting that fur is just wrong. The right way would be to put a quick bullet in the animals head, then skin it after it is dead, and I think that you should not waste the rest of it, they should gut it and eat it.

No one needs to wear fur, There are plenty of warm alternatives. The fur industry is where millions of mink, fox, racoons are kept on factory farms in tiny cages , stressed, no vet care and none of it's own animal needs taken into account. Then they are orally AND anally electrocuted or worse.
