Cassadee and Mike were in a band called Blake. Then they split up and Mike and Cassadee went on to make Hey Monday and one of the members from Blake, Petie, went onto the band Amely or something like that. Yes Hey Monday is still together and Hold On Tight came out in 2008. But those songs are only just getting popular. Sort of? So they'll probably make another Album within this year to another year i'd assume.

Well, it's silly to compare two bands just because of female singers.

But let's be fair, they sound very similar, and the reason for that is that both play the same generic pop punky stuff as a million other bands. Realistically, the only thing that makes these two bands "special" is the gender of their lead singers.
