This is really good! He was really in to his characters and it was easy to tell how they were feeling by his facial expression. I'm pretty sure a child who is deaf could easily understand and enjoy this story.
This video was great. The facial expressions were so entertaining and really made the story come alive and made the story easy to understand. This author writes great children's books to it's nice to see one acted out especially in sign language.
this is a very good video! It's a great example of facial expressions which made it easy to follow along and understand. I liked how he was spacing out and talking to other students while the teacher was trying to get him involved and answer questions.
David was very entertaining and energetic!. My favorite parts were the gum and the sitting bored at class scene. I can truly SEE that facial expression is what makes sign language understandable.
Wow! I really enjoyed watching this! It was very entertaining, and easy to understand! The nonverbal body language and facial expressions were OUTSTANDING! I think this was an excellent example to watch and it really shows the importance of using facial expressions, and emotions while signing.
I work at a daycare and I'm working with one of the teachers there to start working with the children to incorporate ASL into the curriculum! :) I think I may start here!
I really enjoyed this video. Windell is very expressive in his delivery of ASL that it kept me very interested. Very easy to understand. Very enjoyable. Lucianna Stevens CDIS 305 sat class
This interpretation of the children's book is awesome. You really get to see the value of facial expressions. It is easy to understand and enjoyable. Wendy Diaz CDIS 305 Saturday class
This is so well done. Windell is very talented. I was watching this with my girls and they didn't realize at first that this was ASL. They thought he was just telling a story "without using words."
My daughter and I really enjoyed this video. The facial expressions are wonderful! I like the incorporation of the book into the video. Great job role playing!
I really enjoyed this video, I wished it was longer! The best part about this video was the facial expressions and how well it was put together. I am currently in sign language with Ms. Eileen, it is nice to understand what she has taught us. Excellent job on role playing and making it seem so real. Ruby Duran :)
I am in Eileen's class too!! :) This was such a nice translation of the story. It is very animated and easy to follow! I know young children would absolutely love to watch this translation of the story! Very nice job!! :)
Wow! What a fabulous job with such a cute story. I am a student of Professor T's and new to ASL. You could make this a great recruiting video to encourage new students to discover ASL. Your non-verbal is insipiring and even I can understand the finger spelling! Thank you for posting!
I am also in Professor Eileen T.'s class at GSU, and I have about 4 years of signing classes behind me....I LOVED THIS VIDEO!!! First, it was adorable! Second, the facial expressions, and use of nonverbal communication, aside from ASL was outstanding, without even knowing sign, the average joe would know whats going on, and Third, the signs were very easily understood and clearly signed. Great Job with this story...utterly enjoyed it!! Danielle J. CDIS 305 Friday
I am in Pro. Eileen's class on Friday nights class! From watching this video I learned the value of facial expression!!! We have been told time after time how important it is, but this video really put it into prospective! Awesome Job!!!
I found this story very interesting and very exciting. David's expressions and of course his shirt Here I come to Save the Day of Mickey Mouse was great. I followed alot of the story he was acting on and found it to be alot of sense. Great job with role playing.
OMG!!! I love this story... I'm in Pro. Eileen's class @ GSU. I was surprised by how well I followed the story, and my daughter thought it was really funny. She say's its students like David at her school. (Especially the bathroom reenactment!) Great job!!!
