Actually, the big box is equipped as an ambulance, complete with a cot & all. Granted that's not the vehicles primary function, but it is not the CAT unit. CAT is in a Surburban as well.

@x13atma17x Bullshit he has a standard detail and thats it. When travelling overseas he has to have a full medical detail capable of handling and type of medical emergency and the equipment necessary to back up that medical detail. Should surgery be required it will not be done in the foreign country but the medical team is responsible for getting the client back to air force 1/2 which has facilities for surgery.

@x13atma17x My words were "medical detail" and that vehicle carries the EQUIPMENT necessary to back it up. NOT a SS SWAT team like you are saying. IT CARRIES SUPPORT EQUIPMENT its a mobile pharmacy that has some extra cool stuff like Bio Suits for Bio Hazard or chemical threats etc. It is not a part of the normal detail, thus it is only deployed if the situation so requires.

It would not surprise me if secret service had airlift capability - the president's cars, secret service gear for hundreds of guards etc all have to go with the president - even abroad.
All of that has to travel somehow and it ain't flying delta lol

@terekus The presidential motorcade vehicles all travel in a huge USAF jet, the one in this video at 22 seconds in. That one carries the limos, SUVs, and probably most of the others too. It can also carry up to 2 helicopters also.
