I really am getting sick of all the tools on here showing their raging hard-ons for Tarja. Yes, she has a fantastic voice and was a key aspect in Nightwish getting noticed on the world stage, but to say she was the driving force behind the groups is completely mis-guided. I like anette, I think she's funny and gave NW a new start, but this just SUCKS bigtime. I don't want to compare to Tarja because those days are over but if you can't get to the notes in a song then don't sing it or sing it a different way, but this is kinda pathetic.

lol i went to the concert in brussels march 14th and i noticed that anette sings a lot better then tarja and i've been following nightwish pretty much since i was 11 my mother is a fan 2 ^^ eum she sings with a pure voice and tarja sang false at moments that i had a feeling '' how ard can that be ? I agree... She's a lot better nowadays... she uses a technique called belting that without proper coordination can lead to forcing... and I really think she was making that mistake a lot. Anette gets better if you watch a newer video because she's had more practice.
This is what Marco said in one of the "Nightmails" on Nightwish's website:
"Marco:
That is relative. We have the monitors and amps but the main PA is directed to the audience. Jukka and Anette have ear monitors. Emppu and Tuomas use earplugs. I go with the bare flesh."
So Anette might not hear that she is so off-tune as she might think she's not.

I like anette, I think she's funny and gave NW a new start, but this just SUCKS bigtime. I don't want to compare to Tarja because those days are over but if you can't get to the notes in a song then don't sing it or sing it a different way, but this is kinda pathetic.

Try a newer recording such as Lowlands 2008 because she doesn't do all that Lorieanaana and Elberethahayaya stuff.

I know their newer recordings and those are better indeed. But when Anette sings, I think she pulls off the new stuff better. At least most of it, I was at a gig where she even sang the new stuff off key :S )

LMAO! I actually like when she used to do that, me and my friend used to copy her and make ourselves laugh. I love Anette, but this is kinda amusing. I'm glad she's so much better now.

lol i went to the concert in brussels march 14th and i noticed that anette sings a lot better then tarja and i've been following nightwish pretty much since i was 11 my mother is a fan 2 ^^ eum she sings with a pure voice and tarja sang false at moments that i had a feeling '' how ard can that be ? '' if she uses the jaja its because she cant handel the tone hight and then u have to use a solution which fits the new nightwish

I agree... She's a lot better nowadays... she uses a technique called belting that without proper coordination can lead to forcing... and I really think she was making that mistake a lot. I can't completely like her, but I accept she does a decent effort trying to improve with every show. But I really wonder why tuomas chose her... it is obvios he wanted a new sound but you can't only play new material... and nightwish needed a vocalist who was able to sing in an operatic way...

Tarja fue expulsada de la banda hace ya 4 años..No entiendo porque siguen con esta disputa de quien es mejor si anette o tarja?...Por dios las dos tienen estilos diferentes es dificil compararlas,ambas son buenas,Y no creo que nightwish haya sido unica en su genero con tarja, hay tantas bandas de metal sinfonico muuuy parecidas al antiguo nightwish y tantas vocalistas parecidas a Tarja^...ella no es la unica que posee esa maravillosa voz de soprano..si no lo SABIAN.

Parts of it made me cringe... Annette is an excellent vocalist, but songs like these were not written for her. It loses that quality it had with original and with Tarja.
