@PitchBlackAlchemist Though it's easy to get confused, since the director of Coraline, Henry Selick, is probably best known for the same film Burton is.
Die die we all pass away! but don't were a frown cuz it's really Okay! you might try and hide. and you might try and pray but we all end up the remains of the day! :3
I love the part where they show the row of skeletons passing on their skulls! That was genius! This song gets stuck in your head really easily. Yesterday, I kept singing it over and over.
i dont know y some people tell me this movie is so stupid...i love it it is one of my fav movies ever great for Halloween...but i like to watch it any day its a great movie love it!!!!
my school had a corpse bride play. i remember that we had 3 or four, because each was like 1/2 an hour long. i know i took the role of the commander with a hole in his chest twice.one part in this song and in the wedding song
@darkfox0501 It's that contrast that makes the film so fun, I think. Then of course, you've got Johnny Depp in the lead role and Danny Elfman writing the music.
Honestly, it makes me wish Burton would go back into stop-motion films. With "Nightmare" and "Corpse Bride" under his belt, it's a wonder he'd do anything else.
@EeveelutionStorm That's nothing. The Thief and the Cobbler, an animated film created by the great Richard Williams, took a whopping 28 years to complete.
Animated films take a while to make, regardless of who's making it. What matters is the payoff upon completion; I think a lot of people would agree that the Burton-Selick films are among the best in their class, and that any further films from them would be welcome.
...On that note, Aardman's got a new film in the works.
@Nitrinoxus S'alright and I'm not disagree I was just stating my opinion. Coraline is my favorite film of all time and I would love to see more stop motion films myself. I'm tryin to create my own using my BJD's.
@EeveelutionStorm Well, like I said, Aardman Animation is back at the claymation workbench. Their newest project, "The Pirates: Band of Misfits", is sure to be worth a watch for any fan of animation.
I never understood why this movie had only 4 songs in it. Nightmare was the same runtime as Corpse Bride, and it had 3 times as many songs. Did Danny Elfman get lazy or something?
@v1de0gamr That's up to the director. Elfman was only responsible for making the songs Burton wanted included in the film.
Also, a fun fact: Elfman went through a number of singers who attempted to do this song, but could not cut it. Eventually Burton just begged Elfman to do it himself, and so he did. And he was hoarse for days afterwards. xD
This is the most entertaining song to watch ever!!! :D
