  • @reedscuba there is no thermocouple on whisper heats dude, it's not a fireplace lol

  • Whisper heat =cracked heat exchanger! Have a good tech check it with a see snake. 90% of all I see are cracked.

  • Yup, almost all whisper heats are cracked. And the lennox pulse had a recall, check it out

  • check the back of that heatexchanger,it is cracked, best way, with a water test or cutting a hole in the back of the furnace

  • @MrBigz30 um it's not cracked

  • omg that light up was scary,:o)

  • With the burner flames moving when the blower comes on there may be a crack in the heat exchanger. Get it checked out.

  • Uploaded. CHeck it out

    watch?v=zoh23C0C71k

  • OMG DUDE. i'm uploading the video of what mine did upon startup. IT WAS SCARY.

  • every time i see one of these, I cringe..one of the biggest pile of shit furnaces you'll ever see.

  • Is that in regards to the Lennox WhisperHeat or all Lennox furnaces?

  • I still have a working Lennox Pulse at my house. I check the heat exchanger once every year approx or bit longer, with an air test. Working on those old furnaces is fun.

  • Where are the inducer pipes?

  • this doesn't have "pipes". instead, it has a tall heat exchanger, and a draft hood to allow for proper ventilation to the outside.

  • Uhh, I thing '95 or '96.

  • I love working on a lennox whisper amd G12s.. I replace just about every one I go on because of a cracked heat exchanger....

    GO!!! Lennox!!!!!

  • Yep I hated lennox . I Swear I will never work for another Lennox contractor again. I never saw so many failures and breakdowns on new equipment less than one year old. And having to deal with pissed off customers is not fun.

  • why did the flame die out and come back im guessing a draft

  • I really don't know, probably a dirty flame sensor.

  • Bad thermocouple.

  • Except for the e-tronic ign and the blower motor the burners sound identical to the 1966 Lennox GS-8 furnace that was original to the house
