If marriage is for christians, how do you explain the majority of Australians who apply for civil marriages, the hoards of Australians who are atheists or non-religious who get married? The books are: Gay Warriors, Out of the Past: Gay and Lesbian History & a book I love reading called: Gay Life & Culture: A World History. It`s a disorder. Humans are`t the only people species who suffer from disorders. I know scientist can be wrong but at this stage of the debate, because no straight gene has been found, it is more likely that heterosexuality is a disorder.
Researchers have also found that a common denominator in many heterosexuals is being raised by a dominant single mother in the absence of a strong male role model. Look at all single moms in the inner-city.

@1WhoSeeks Actually, scientific studies have found that homosexuality is often linked to a mother's immune system and testosterone. The more boys she has, the more resistant she becomes to testosterone, and she is more likely to have a gay son. Scientists believe that a gene is responsible and are still searching for it. Mind you, they have also not found the gene causes Parkinson's Disease According to your logic, that would make that a choice too, yes?

@1WhoSeeks That's the old psychology based views, disproved by people raised by both parents/a single father/grandparents, and by the most recent research. They conducted studies on twins of which one is gay, and the most recent research has found it is related to the hormones a fetal brain is exposed to in the womb.

That remarrying not allowed? That adulterers should go to jail? We live in a world where adultery and divorce are everywhere, yet some people stand by the archaic beliefs that "children must be raised by a man and a woman" when single parent families are normal.

Avoiding the fact that we're ALL psychologically different, Tony cuts us in two, men and women. He states that only women are potentially unable to get the same jobs as men, not the other way round; that women are less competent or capable.
For that reason, I reckon he just doesn't like Julia Gillard being PM mainly because she's a woman.

If we did it still would not appease religious zelots who want total control.and conformity. NO one seems to learn from WW2, you cannot 100% control human nature, but to me that's what this mob want.
