I have been using 11.04 on a Éee-Pc 1000 with the classic / shell / lôôk I think it's Gnome 2.5 and it really is super as ever, Cheers......... The question I have is will we have the choice not to use the unity lôôk on the 12.04 Lts ?

But only because you come to your mother already dead set in the false impression that ubuntu 11.04 sucks. "Does that mean that I can't use my printer?" "You can't use your printer." Which is false. Even a casual user should be able to find a driver on the net if an autosearch fails. And then she can decompress and install the driver like she would under windows.

if there really smart, and wanted to stop coping Apple, they would integrate that "Favourate" side bar onto the mouse, so you favorite apps really are just a simple click away.

not only that, but they could also have a Notification Area aswell....Kinda like the windows 7 Dock (Which never became implemented) but better, as, agian...it will only be a click away.... i should Totally work for Apple....

KDE is not bad, but it's not for me , and I hate Unity...

Gnome Shell is the GUI I feel at home in, and I don't think I'm alone ...

Shuttleworth is trying to turn Ubuntu into a Mac clone with it's dock, and global menu ... If I wont Ubuntu to look like a Mac I just give gnome a Mac theme, and trust me it would look way better than this Unity crap.

Shuttleworth should watch some Apple Expo keynotes, how Jobs shone his face on the disciples every now and then while joyfully playing with the latest gadget more for his own fun than to really do the keynote - or at least it looked like this. (Back then of course when Apple still was a saint/disciple thing and not a contant mafia rotten weird-o enclave with people petitioning to open a java VM instead of switching to a OS that does what they want...)

@osmodivs Unity is just a shell for Gnome. It's default on Ubuntu Netbook Edition. You can still install normal Ubuntu on netbook.

The sound has been speeded up a bit, so he sounds squeaky for most of the video, until at the end it becomes normal again.
