Given the choice, even if I had the money to dress my kit in A customs, HHX, whatever I would choose Stagg. They've proved way more durable and better sounding than any cymbal i've ever used on my kit. Even A Custs crack fast compared to these and I'm a harder. Of course though I'd choose Paiste Rudes or K customs over these but you get what i'm saying.
OMG I love that sound! And ofcourse there price! I have a SH 8'' Splash and i love it, so today i want to the musicstore and i bought a 14'' crash from the SH line. Not perfect, but it sounds really good for only 39 euros!
Just ordered the Stagg SH 13" Rock Hi Hats and a Myra Rock Crash 16"... SO excited for them to come! I'll definitely be looking into more Stagg cymbals in the future! :)
I bought an 18" SH Thin crash from these guys for $100 (link in the video description) and it's AWESOME. No pangy or ringy aftertones (as I might have expected at that price range ), just a nice, loud, darker, complex sounding crash. I was actually originally wanting a Paiste Twenty Thin crash in 18 and for the price this actually sounds comparable!
The DH ones are quite bright, not as bright as Paiste cymbals but I use them for Metal and they cut through brilliantly (My DH 18" Crash is louder than the guitars!). With the DH cymbals I feel like the larger the cymbal, the darker the sound.
these sound really good for the price, but i still love my paiste 2002's...a mountain crumbles every time i crash my 24 inch ride. Yes, I am a bonham fan lol.
I just got a stagg SH 17" thin crash for £60 and it kicks my mates A custom all over the place. It's a shame that so many people look down on stagg because their cheap and have no endorsers. I guess thats their loss!
godfucking damn need some stagg cymbals. ;) have some already but need some chinas, their chinas sound soft and agressive at the same time. warm. aweomse.
I want the DH 18" Medium crashhh sounds well nice (: and i can get it for slightly more than what i paid for a ZBT rock crash :S WTF what have i been doing?! :L And i just spent £250 on a A Sweet ride but the ride on here sounds just as nice tbh :L
If you are a serious musician and do care a lot about how you sound don't just take it from endorsers because half of what they say is business. When i heard about Stagg I went to a store and checked them. Their cheapest line the SH sound and feel a mile better than A custom fast crashes...atleast to my own ears and taste. how much did I pay for a 16 SH Regular Thin Crash? US$55
Brand is just a subliminal advertisement. I don't say they are bad but there are some that is better in generic line.
Man, I love Stagg. They are so cheap! And the sound is amazing. I've got an 8'' splash of Stagg, and it sounds amazing. Even way better then my Pst 3 10'', that's crap.
Stagg sounds great, but why has every pro-drummer Zildjian or Sabian or something? I think that's because of the brand. Stagg drums aren't that good -.- But the cymbals are great.
So, if you want some cheap cymbals with a good sound? Try STAGG!
Wow those crashes sound pretty damn good. They sound dryer and less glassy than say an A custom or AA's but MUCH better than the B8's. If they cost the same, i am sold.
i have zildjian cymbals and does anyone agree that stagg cymbals sound exactly the same as zildjians but are alot cheaper. zildjian should be put out of buisiness along with sabian over stagg!
I just got a DH 22" Exo heavy ride and - my god! - it's the best cymbal I've ever played! It's pingy, trashy, great wash if you use the shoulder of the stick and all for about a third the price of a similar spec Z*ldj**n or S*bi*n. Love it!!
I have the DH and the SH cymbals in my set. I got both of them for the price of 1 regular Zildjian. Really great sounding cymbals for a good price. The SH and the DH sound great when you hit them at the same time.
i have 3 stagg cymbals and i love them! They are soooo Coooool!

Hmmm I may wanna get my hand on these if I can. I already love Dream, and I think the combination could be great.

My first cymbals were all SH stagg. Let me just tell something
My 16" crash sounds as good as a AAX Stage crash and the price is the half of a AAX stage crash :)

This brand should be a major brand like Zildjian or Paiste!
Why? Cuz they are better then Sabian

Do the SH 16" china's all sound that dark and responsive? Which of the DH and SH are generally darker?

The DH series is a brilliant finish, giving them a brighter sound, SH regular(natural ) finish gives them a trashy, earthy sound.
Meatlooaf 2 years ago
@augenmaugen The DH have a brilliant finish, so they sound a lot brighter than SH. SH have a natural rough finish, so its having a lot rougher sound.
