  • Everytime I'm sad I listen to this and it makes me happy again. :)

  • My homeland, I love Ireland. From Australia.

  • Wow... Simply beautiful. My beloved girlfriend, who means everything to me, said that we need to talk tomorrow... And judging on how she has been acting these last couple of days, I'm almost sure that she will leave me :( That just make's this song so much more touching.

  • This make me cry and wish even more to visit Ireland.Hope that someday I will.

Thank you for this wonderful song:)

  • goosebumps....

  • I love Michael Londra, I highly suggest everyone here go and listen to his rendition of Danny Boy... makes me cry everytime I hear it.

  • quite beautiful

  • Tá mé Brasaíle agus tá mo thír álainn, ach aon rud i gcomparáid leis an áilleacht, traidisiúin agus teanga an talamh. barróg mhór a lán-Ghaeilge.

  • @KingElrond1 Musica extremamente bela,de fato,a Musica, como o Amor,é a linguagem universal das nossas mais profundas emoçoes.Se quiser ouça também em Voices of Xendra, com Anna Paula Sahdi!!!

  • Vocally speaking ,there's far too much vibration in this voice,

typical for nowadays ánd nowadays taste. One seems to like it,

but I prefer far less vibration, straight from one note to another and not

with all kind of "in between notes"(Caribbean/American influence)

Too much vibration is often not to be avoided when one grows much older,

hence the fact that after reachting 50 yrs of age,the voice gets less attractive,so many classical singers stop. This young singer vibrates too much.

  • @jcriedijk

That's a rather critical response, and displays a lack of knowledge in regards to the varying styles of Irish traditional singing. The 'inbetween notes' that you refer to are an integral part of Irish singing, specifically in the style known as Sean nos where it almost takes over the song. It is quite a skill.

While excessive vibrato in the singing of traditional music is to be avoided, it has its place, and I think is not over done in this case.
