@zenerdo My mum looks after me and my brother on her own as well as form and run her own law business, and she's been looking after me and my brother on her own for the last 12 years, with her business starting about 5 or 6 years ago. Trust me, women can be independent in all kinds of circumstances. And I respect my mum for that.

In my experience, there isn't any correlation between relationship status and family well-being. @zenerdo My mum looks after me and my brother on her own as well as form and run her own law business, and she's been looking after me and my brother on her own for the last 12 years, with her business starting about 5 or 6 years ago. Trust me, women can be independent in all kinds of circumstances. And I respect my mum for that.

@zenerdo Really? I'm suprised at that, considering I know plenty of women in similar circumstances to my mum that function well without a man. In my experience, there isn't any correlation between relationship status and family well-being. I know of no women that make claims like Destiny's Child that they are happy without a man when they actually refuse to be without one, because it takes self-respect and independence to get to that mindset in the first place.
