I love his voice and I love David Bowie. It's been said before, but I couldn't imagine how it would be to see them both in the same room. That's just too much talent and hotness for me to handle.
I know it's Bowie and Oldman singing, but the track actually comes from Reeves Gabrels' 1995 solo record 'The Sacred Squall of Now'. Very good record, worth a listen...
i think if I saw gary oldman and david bowie in the same room my head would explode. also on the 'love kills' set, with joe strummer and gary oldman in the same place... it would be way too much to handle... XD
gary oldman is one of the greatest actors. hes great in everything ive seen him in and hes a good singer too surprisingly. he deserves to win a fucking oscar
I can't believe Gary worked with David Bowie! They're two of the most ageless and sexiest men I know! David Bowie looks like he's 40, and Gary looks nothing like 50. Fantastic! I think I can get a fever from the hotness!
I've no idea what it's about, sorry. I was really just sticking random videos together when I made this; I just wanted to get that song out there. I found that clip on some site, but I don't remember which one...
Where is this version of You've Been Around from? The arrangement is quite different from the one on Black Tie White Noise. Think I prefer that one, but this is nice also.
As soon as I'm able to get some more of Gary's movies on my computer - and find a song that I think fits - I'll do another one. =) My computer's been acting up lately, so I haven't even been able to think about making more.
his back-up vocals are great! wait how long ago did you say you first discovered gary? haha I'm totally obsessed with him but i'm not good enough to make a video yet :( haha
I discovered him around the end of July. I think he's the only obsession that's lasted this long. I go through phases, and they usually don't last longer than a month. The only one(other than Gary) that's lasted longer than that is Scotland. I've been obsessed with Scotland for, I dunno, four years? Something like that. =P I'm hoping Gary will last that long, too.
You should at least try making a video! It's so much fun. It doesn't have to be the greatest video on YouTube, you know. ^_^
I've been obsessed w/ him since Fifth Element, but that's b/c it's where I 1st saw him. I know that's not 1 of his best role examples. I was like omigosh 11, I'm 20 now...a while ago!! a crazy crush I had on him DAY and NIGHT, it was ridiculous but he's just so aMAzing. I then saw Dracula and Immortal Beloved and Professional...it's like my heart melted as I watched him. will the man ever know how much he's changed my life? acting AND singing, talk about versatility.
Wow. I feel like a newbie... type... fan. Ha. I don't see me becoming any less of a fanatic any time soon, though. I mean, I love the guy. Who doesn't? ^_^ And I'm taking up acting again because of him. No other actor I've been obsessed with (those obsessions usually only last a few weeks) has inspired me as much as Gary. I don't know what it is about him, but I'm just so attracted to him... even if he is 32 years my senior. =/
Hey, AAparallel! He sings background vocals randomly throughout the song, but he sings the second verse by himself. "Where the flesh meets the spirit world" is Gary singing.
I got it off of Limewire, but it took me ages to find it. It's pretty rare. =/
Ah, sorry! I accidentally pressed "remove" instead of "reply."
Anywho: Yeah, I'm not obsessed anymore. :( I still love him to death, though, and he's still one of my favorite actors. I'm just not watching his movies every other day like I used to.
You're very welcome. And thanks for the comment. =) I'm planning on making more, but I'm just waiting to hear the right song, you know? Can't make a good video without the perfect song. This video doesn't count. I just wanted to use the song. Ha.
Wow I never imagined for a second that I'd hear Gary Oldman and David Bowie in a duet!!
Hey Gary is a good singer too, best hearing him sing alone though as David's voice is hell powerful.
I adore them both, and very nice to have found this gem, thanks for uploading :D
