Hey, not tryin to talk ish and what you did is similar but this is not sidechaining. This is actually using automation to gate with the controller plug. Sidechaining is when you use one channels output to control an effect (usually a comp/limiter) for another channel, generally to make one sound stand out thru another sound with a similar frequency range.

@nigeleckzdee It worked out the same way cause he used an algorithm that made the gate happen in sync with the kick and snare but technically speaking he didnt use the kick or snare output to control the gate so actually it is not side chaining (although the result is basically the same.)

@arccity do the kick and sound you want to change on the same pattern if that helps. basically need them both running. then on the mixer need to be put on seperate chanels say channnel1 and channel 2. the put peak controler on kicks channel etc etc follow video :)

@ThePencil901 Prob tweaked some with the sustain (adsr stuf). also, when using 'chords of life', DO use chords, not a single note each time. makes BIG difference in that preset.

Hey i've studied many different ways to sidechain, annnddd another cool thing to do is to clone the kick your using with the peak controller then you can have a whole seperate channel with that cloned kick muted. So the end result would be the sidechain muting the notes you want without bass whenever you choose.

I don't want to sound like a dick (not that it matters to me if I do) but you really need to be more specific with your instructions. Single-sentence captions sprinkled randomly throughout the video won't help someone who doesn't actually know what sidechaining is or how it works in FLS9 (or any other program for that matter). You also negated to mention several key details surrounding sidechaining as a whole.
