Thanks - Tommy did a fantastic job as usual. Beautiful words and melody - it does sounds like something Bob would have written. Did your research reveal who wrote this?
@BDCookie This one was composed by Tim Spencer and i am still trying to make sure i was right on who did the lead because i know Bon had retired officially but still recorded with the group and didn't tour and Tommy and Bob sounded so much alike it's hard to figure out and i am not sure i trust the site that said this was Tommy. But i am sure of the composer.
@fatjud1 Sorry, Pete, but I trust my ears - this doesn't sound like Tommy Doss at all. Listen to the accent. Bob was from Canada and he pronounced/sang certain words with a Canadian accent which stuck with him all his life. For instance they pronounce "out" as "oot" or "about" as "aboot." Tommy Doss' voice has a nasal twang to it - he sounds country and Bob Nolan never sounded country. I could be wrong but I don't think so on this.
@imanolanfan I can't remember the site where i found the info but i know someone i can ask for sure and i will let you know as soon as i get an answer!!!
@fatjud1 Hey i asked Mr O.J. Sikes a member of the western music association advisory board, he has written liner notes for a lot of cd's he said it was Tommy Doss doing the solo on this one but you're right he did sound a lot like Bob Nolan on this one.
