  • How Well Miku Pronunces In English Depends on the User, If You Listen to Over the Rainbow By Miku Her Pronounciation Is Practically Perfect.

  • This is so delightful. I love Gershwin and Ira's lyrics are wonderful and so is this interpretation. Especially the "La, la, la" parts!! I would love to hear you attempt the Ira Gershwin lyrics in "Cheerful Little Earfull."

  • ZOMG! XD I love this! And the pic! She's like "why am I singing this? This is like so old! What the hell?" XD

  • If you get Luka to sing this song, she'll use perfect English. Nevertheless it's a pretty cute song ^^

  • Miku should not be singing this song. It could ruin her 'Good Girl' image!.

That said I really loved the song and the way Miss Hatsune performed it. Thank You!

  • Your consideration is appreciated. Perhaps she is singing without knowing the meaning of lyrics. ^_^;

    Thank You.

  • Actually I intended to post that message for the "Lorelei" comments. My mistake! This is fine too!

  • thanks for up loading this video. i'm a big fan of gershwin's work.

  • i cant get miku to say 'la' in vocaloid 2.

i have no idea oh what i can get her to say

or not. if there is a list of this then i

really want to know where i can get it.

just mikumikudance isnt fun without also

    making miku say/sing.

  • Presumably (I don't know from experience), Miku can utilize the entire Japanese alphabet. Basically, as to be expected, any syllable used in the Japanese language, which isn't too difficult since the entire language is based on syllables which are always pronounced the same regardless of the way they're combined. The basic ones: a i u e o ka ki ku ke ko sa shi su se so ta chi tsu te to na ni nu ne no ha hi fu he ho ma mi mu me mo ya yu yo ra ri ru re ro wa wo m/n
  • These basic ones can be further changed with some symbols, and you can get the sounds: ga gi gu ge go za ji zu ze zo da zhi dzu de do ba bi bu be bo pa pi pu pe po *And then* further, stuff like: Jya jyu jyo Hya hyu hyo Kya kyu kyo Fa fu fo Nya nyu nyo Gya Gyu Gyo Pya Pyu Pyo Etc. A large number of these are rarely used though, so I don't know how many actually were recorded, but most of them should be available?

  • i work too far away from home now to do much

behind a computer. im not working on anything

really. if i had time i would. but thats off

the drawing board for about.. many months..

  • Good luck on your next project.

  • Well, it was a quick overview of mine, and I'm not familiar with how the vocaloid software works, or what it's capable of.

Things such as va, etc, do exist, as far as writing katakana, but the Japanese seem to always just use "ba" instead of bothering with that one. For the most part, it was just fine.

Regardless, my intent was just to give him a rough idea of what syllables should probably exist naturally. I don't know much of V2, but I do study the Japanese language.

  • New Vocaloid2 Vol.3 Luka Megurine(巡音ルカ) will be released on January 30. She is bilingual in English and Japanese. She has Engilish sound database. I do not understand the details, but I think perhaps the input of such words("va", "la", "r") becomes possible, and the pronunciation becomes more correct. Her voice concept is "Moody and Husky". Sample voice is uploaded in YouTube, see the following movie : watch?v=2XUzfx0Y5-A.

  • ahahhahahaha LOVE IT!!!

  • Yay More English Miku Songs :)

  • i wonder if key in english verbal symbol (those has weird shape in dictionary)will she pronouce the word?

  • Comment removed

  • "Key" would be written "Ki", and the note held to lengthen the duration.

  • Miku sings English pretty well for someone who can only do Japanese sounds.^^

  • what?u retard,no it's not!!!!!it's just someone singing!!!>:(

  • kawai¡¡¡¡

  • lol 1:25 - 1:32 is so awesome xd

    army of otakus

  • so cute!!!

    i love this!!!!!!!

    thank you!!

  • OMG Hatsune is the cutess :3

I totaly fall in love with her <3

  • Omg kawaii!!!

Miku sounds so cute when she tries to sing in english

    Do do do :3

  • I want to make her sing russian, it might be more funny)

  • hahaha

  • its so cute! i don't care if she can't pronounce english words. i still like it. lol

  • so she's a computer thing?

  • She's a software that's called a Vocaloid. Basically, you tell her what to say and she says it, but since she is only Japanese speaking, there are certain things she can't say.

  • Poor thing, so cute and can't say love :'O

  • she sounds so cute when she sings the 'la la la' part :3

  • i totally agree ^.^

  • Indeed... I'm spasming from all the cuteness.

  • You did a really good job at making her sing in english, but wow...this song's kinda old.. o-o And also, where did you buy this game, and how much did it cost? o: Thanks! <3

  • Miku Hatsune is the voice synthesizer software for Windows. This is for sale in Japan. The price is 15,750Yen($155.00). Thank you.

  • vocaloid is a virtual singing program, not a game and it cost around 200 dollars.

  • You did a wonderful job of getting her to sing in English. That put a huge smile on my face. :)

  • Miku is sooo cute with her Japanese accent when she sings in english! I want this program!!

  • Where can I dload it?

  • Cannot download. It is necessary to buy CD-ROM(Software "Vocaloid2 Miku Hatsune") to get it.

  • You know that's not too bad for a program that can only sing in Japanese. Good job. :D

  • lol ^_^ wats this??

  • Miku Hatsune is the voice synthesizer softweare. She can sing, but can't speak. In addition, she can pronounce only Japanese, so she is not good at English.

  • 元曲は知らないけどこれは良い!!まさにgj!

  • ども、ありがとうございます!!

  • Can you type in English letters in the program when you're making her sing?

  • No, I can't. For example, to pronounce "strange", I must type six characters("su","to","re","i","n","ji") in Japanese.

  • That must have been very tedious, you did a great job. ^_^

  • "For example, she cannot pronounce "love". She pronounces it "rabu" in Japanese" - there are at least 4 loves in this song ^^' im confused

  • One is for you. One is for Gershwin. One is for this song. One is for YouTube. Thanks.

  • great!

  • now if we can only get her to sing "state of massachusetts"...

  • OMFG it would be one of the best videos on youtube, then again one of the scariest. xD

  • Lol, Engrish.

  • Indeed

  • ahahhahahaha XDDDD LOVE IT!!!
