You know what I think is funny? When the rest of the world pronounces New Orleans or Louisville the way they're commonly pronounced, the people from those cities really don't insist they change their pronunciation to "Norlins" or "Luavul". The way I see it the name, Newfoundland is actually being mispronounced by the people from the territory itself. It's not a foreign language yet they pronounce it Newfundland. Let's face it, the natives simply dress the word up to make it appear special.

If a baby seal is killed during the seal hunt, it is done ILLEGALLY. The Newfoundland seal hunters do not go after baby seals. We stopped hunting whitecoats DECADES ago. The seal hunt DOES, I REPEAT DOES still target baby seals. THE CVMA, EFSA and DFO agree that seals are hunted starting at age 12 days old when they have molted their white coats. 95% of all seals killed in 2007 were under the age of 3.5 months old. The EFSA and even the DFO label these seals as NEONATAL. Babies. Whitecoat is not exclusive to baby seal. The period that they are babies continues well beyond that time. You have NO scientific backing to say "We don't hunt baby seals anymore".

Unpromted, In Reply to another persons comment, over 2 years ago, Canucktunes left his first comment on this video, I can see it appears as though his claim of being repeatedly "baited" back to video comments is a cry of wolf as this time he has left a comment once again, unprompted. It appears Canucktunes is more interested in simply interjecting his own bias and spin on these videos than he is responding to being "Baited" on to videos by "trolling" his comments.
In my opinion, I actually believe that canucktunes is a simple, lonely, arrogant megalomaniac that doesn't like it when everybody doesn't share his opinion. In my opinion it would appear as if the original "troller" is indeed canucktunes himself. After all we've learned from his unsolicited comments both on this video AND on "Canadain Seal Hunting, Why." Nobody asked him to comment to begin with. So, why is he there to begin with. In a word...pride.

By using simple math, that makes me four times as interesting as you are. You know what I think is funny? When the rest of the world pronounces New Orleans or Louisville the way they're commonly pronounced, the people from those cities really don't insist they change their pronunciation to "Norlins" or "Luavul". The way I see it the name, Newfoundland is actually being mispronounced by the people from the territory itself. It's not a foreign language yet they pronounce it Newfundland. Let's face it, the natives simply dress the word up to make it appear special.

If a baby seal is killed during the seal hunt, it is done ILLEGALLY. The Newfoundland seal hunters do not go after baby seals. We stopped hunting whitecoats DECADES ago. Do some research before you go ranting on television please, and by the way, do try and get your location right the first time!

The seal hunt DOES, I REPEAT DOES still target baby seals. THE CVMA, EFSA and DFO agree that seals are hunted starting at age 12 days old when they have molted their white coats. 95% of all seals killed in 2007 were under the age of 3.5 months old. The EFSA and even the DFO label these seals as NEONATAL. Babies. Whitecoat is not exclusive to baby seal. The period that they are babies continues well beyond that time. You have NO scientific backing to say "We don't hunt baby seals anymore".

GameFreak - Wrong. The exact verbatim is Marine Mammal Regulation SOR/93-56 Prohibitions #17 "No person other than a beneficiary (An inuit) shall hunt, sell, trade or barter a whitecoat or blueback."
Section 2 Interpretations - "whitecoat means a harp seal that has not begun to moult its white coat." Again. There is no mention of the words "baby seals". Because even the DFO postulates in their own reports that the "neonatal" status of a harp seal continues till at least 6 weeks of age.

I do. In fact, since activists began shedding light on the inhumanity of THAT industry in the mid 1970's, veal sales have dropped 85%. Try to find a major restaurant chain that serves it.

Try understand our side though: Some families here needed the seal hunt to feed their families. It's part of our heritage. We've stopped killing whitecoats, and we've stopped hunting SOLELY for furs. It just pisses me off that a pair of spoilt celebrities who are handed everything in life come over and try to take a way of living away from us, and for the record, I love animals too.

Did you hear that my Gov General Michelle Jean is in Nunavut eating seal heart in "solidarity" with the Inuit. NO ONE is asking the them to change their way of life. The EU will not purchase pelts from the First Nations, but their way of life never included the white commercial seal slaughter in the first place. The seal hunt is dead. The government will embarrass themselves and Canadians a little while longer with ideas like suing the WTO and athletes wearing seal fur, then they will shut up. Even though I'm saying I am against the seal hunt a certain someone is coming in here with all his accounts and marking my posts as spam. Guys like that give your group a terrible name. You guys go around saying that there is zero demand for seal products, but if Europe is now going to ban the import of seal products then there is obviously a demand for it. Just tell the truth! However, the sealer are now going to have to do something else, just like people in other industries that do lose their jobs. That's life. Canada promises to waste even more of their citizens' taxes payer dollars by appealing to the WTO. Canada itself has rejected attempts from foreign countries to buy more shares in their airlines and rejected foreign bids on Canadian road construction projects which will certainly play against them should any such appeal be made.

Yup 28,000. Although I speak two languages, English and German, when I'm overseas, or anywhere else I don't get news in a language I understand, eg. Chinese, Egyptian, Tegali, I get it off of news channels on Youtube.

The status is, that Canadians love Paul McCartney. Canada just invited him to perform in Canada at a historic event, a concert at a celebration in Quebec. An overwhelming majority polled said they were overjoyed to have Paul play there & didn't give a crap about 0.001 percent of the tiny band of sealers that mainly live in a tiny part of Newfoundland. Even Newfoundlanders, which number over 500 thousand, said they loved Paul esp if he was against sealers which only make up less than 1% of NL.

Just one more thing...have you noticed that I have watched half the number of videos that you have, but have twice the number of channel views that you have? By using simple math, that makes me four times as interesting as you are. I'd have thought that I'm a thousand times more interesting than you, but I guess people like to look at your channel because they can't believe how stupid you sound in your comments.

It's also nice to see how many people are visiting your videos. Oh that's right, you don't have any videos. If you couple the channel views with my video views my popularity more than doubles your, little boy. Don't cut yourself shaving. I guess you wouldn't even know what it's like to shave. Sorry.
