I think what happened here was that Midna used the fused shadows to drain Ganondorf of his flaming head power so he could be killable by Link.

She couldn't kill ganondorf herself, so that's why he comes out victorious initially. Sound plausible?

No one mentioned how touching this scene is? Midna's facial expression as she teleports them to safety to face him alone. What a brave sacrifice, considering her character development throughout the game.

I wonder why he didn't do the Flamin'head thing when you fight him. He could've just roasted Link and had Linkburgers and Zeldadogs at his victory party. Heck, he pretty much could've done everything he made Zant do himself, seeing as Zant's Shadow Beasts were too much for the Light Spirits. Haha. I agree. Maybe there's some rule to it. You can't use a piece of the Triforce to kill someone else with a piece... Though I guess Ganon is using the Triforce. At least yeah, it's a great game.

Maybe the Flamehead-thing got some kind of cooldown and it cannot be used many times in a row because even the Triforce of Power doesn't have enough power to upkeep flameform all the time.

I thought Zelda, Gannon and Link each had a piece of the triforce, Zelda is suppose to keep all three but part went to gannon and to link and they where in some sort of cosmic battle to determine who got it (zelda or gannon {good vs evil}).

because Zant used Gannon's dark power he could overcome the light spirits, darkness is greater than twilight (that's why Midna loses).

i may be wrong also, that i was my interpretation.

Midna + Wolf Link = EPIC SSBB character.

Wolf Link does the tilts and smashes, while Midna covers most of the specials. Final smash is seen in this video.

Watching sences like this make me wish that Midna had been in SSBB somehow, other than a trophy. Dark powered attacks while riding wolf link, with her "monster" form being her final smash... oh well. Love this scene anyways! really thought she was dead!
