You know, hackers aren't really THAT bad... some hackers help people get VR, those hackers are called 4TL hackers (For teh lulz or For the lose) while other hackers named FTW (For The Win) hack to win and let all the other players lose their VR, really, hackers aren't really that bad, and BTW, hackers are banned from WFC, all they want to do is have fun, they help u too, u have to remember that, hackers also give out TC glitches which help u go faster, to actually WIN the race.
My fiance n I were playing last night when we got stuck w some hackers! They layed out boxes all across the start line just before the green light! Then gettin stuck n continuous bombs Its crazy! We've been lookin stuff up n you have 2 go thru so much just 2 get the codes! Itd be 1 thing if u could do something w the remote its self but 2 have 2 download copy n paste so much.. It takes the fun out of it! If you could press up down side to side in a pattern to do some things it'd be different.
@ecollawn Next time it happens reset your internet connection as soon as you realise your race is hacked. That way you keep your rating and the hacker has no fun! (In fact, if everyone did this they would all have VERY short races against THEMSELVES!!!) Wifi Players: JUST TURN YOUR POWER OFF after the race starts if a hacker is playing online...It cuts off the game. If everybody does that, cheaters won't have anyone to play with but themselves (in more ways than one).
Most hackers cause general havoc, then purposefully lose in order to give out VR, having set their VR to 35555 or something similar, giving everyone they played with lots of VR. I should know, I am one :)
You unfortunately came up against douches who purposefully WIN, which are not respected by the hacking community.
No one who plays MK Wii online enjoys it when there's a hacker in their race (except the hacker!)

it was N64 version and when you go into the grass, little yellow spikes will hit you until you get out of the grass.

If you want a good online service that doesn't have hackers or people who can use a different controller scheme as an "advantage", buy an Xbox 360 or PS3... you can't do ANYTHING to a PS3 and as for 360s you can only flash the DVD drives firmware in order to get free games.

I bought the console and the game BECAUSE of the wheel. I just think that wheel-users should be segregated from you thumb-twiddlers because the control methods are far too different for there to be any level of fairness.

I had a SNES and N64 and only bought the Wii console cos of the wheel use on MK.
Don't get me wrong, I love beating non-wheelers, but you must agree that the level of control when using the wheel is much lower than with nunchuck or GCN controllers, and for that reason, i think, there should be a wheel-only option.

Wifi Players: JUST TURN YOUR POWER OFF after the race starts if a hacker is playing online...It cuts off the game. If everybody does that, cheaters won't have anyone to play with but themselves (in more ways than one).

Most hackers cause general havoc, then purposefully lose in order to give out VR, having set their VR to 35555 or something similar, giving everyone they played with lots of VR. I should know, I am one :)

I have got to 9999VR using the wheel so I'm pretty good myself, my rating is currently 8900. Perhaps you have to be a good racer to see hackers for the ruiners that they TRULY are!
And, no, your opponents pressing the continue button does not mean that you are being welcomed, it just means they are sitting there praying that you have f****ed off somewhere else!
