I specifically remember the "crab scene" on Vogssphere having been edited differently in the cinematic version in theaters. The Narrator does a whole bit where he introduces the crab and the trouble he's in. He lures you into sympathizing with the crabs plight & explains why he's so happy to see the ship crash...only 2 B killed instantly by the door. It actually made it more funny, but I can't find ANY reference to this version on the internet, does anyone else remember it? It's not on the DVD!

My dad passed away a year ago. When he was alive his career and life's work involved conceiving and executing computer programs that are now used for biochemistry, NASA, and even things like the Hadron Collider. I never really knew my father growing up, and didn't know the extent of his career till after his passing. Growing up we bonded over things like Hitchhikers, Red Dwarf, and Dune. I inherited this DVD back when he passed, and it always skips about 6:12. Thank you for uploading this.

@0MrSiegel0 Basically, it's a hitchhiker thing. If you can travel the length and breadth of the galaxy for less than 30 Altairian dollars a day, then you a clearly a man to be reckoned with. Also, if a strag (a non hitchhiker) sees you with a towel, he will automatically assume that you are in posession of other things like a toothbrush or a flannel, and will therefore gladly lend you any of these things that you might have "lost."
